GUILTY UK - Katie Kenyon, 33, may have left w/man in car, Burnley, 22 Apr 2022 *ARREST*

  • #61
The search continues this morning, with specialist equipment because of the remoteness of the search area, and officers from 4 forces:

More than 60 officers and rescuers continue in search for missing Katie

"Search teams including more than 60 search officers from Lancashire, North Wales, Merseyside and GMP, with specialist dogs, a plane and other equipment are being used.

"The Salvation Army have also provided a feeding station up in the remote area where the teams are working."

Who was this man to her? What was her connection to her and why did she get into his van?

Police combing through the forest is not a good sign :(

As her phone silent.

I guess an ex partner is involved.

I remember reading an exact same story some time ago, but the body of the missing woman was never found. She was seen getting into somebody's car in the early morning but never arrived to work.

This week it is the fourth female victim I have heard about.

Does anyone think the use of planes and drones offers a glimmer of hope Katie may be alive but has been concealed somewhere in the forest? I'm wondering if the police/mountain rescue teams are using heat-detecting equipment in the hope of finding a live person rather than a dead body. Or am I being wildly over-optimistic?

Oh I'd love to believe that but sadly I think it's likely that she's not alive and police have good reason to have re-arrested on suspicion of murder.

But that said ... I never in a million years expected little Cleo to be found alive either so, maybe a teeny, tiny glimmer of hope?

Sadly, I think the drones and planes are just helping with the vast area - largest forest in Lancs I think.

I would love to be wrong, but I can't see any other outcome than finding Katie's body. And I really hope they manage to do that for her family's sake.

I was thinking they were being used to detect recent changes in the ground/undergrowth?

This is a particularly confusing case from the info released and the family comments. I'm jumping between suicide/assisted suicide/murder. When does the 96 hours run out if it gets that far and what happens if there is no progress at that point?

9pm tonight for the 96 hours -
at that point, either charge, release completely or release under investigation

As far as I have understood Katie has got 2 (?) children as well. Under these sad circumstances I do hope the arrested one is not their dad :(

I don’t unfortunately see much hope here, just wish for a closure for her family’s sake.

I’m feeling very sad and disgusted for saying the previous, too :(

Well ... that's it then, all hope is lost.

Poor Katie and family and most of all, her poor darling children :(

Quick Google of the name brought up a previous conviction with the right name and age, might be the same man...

Pictures of him popping up on FB with angry messages. Some interesting comments from the sister about what Andrew has admitted 2.
