His Fb may have gone but his twitter is still up for now https://twitter.com/TheLukeHarlow

Talk about obsessed with the same subject!

His photos is pretty weird when viewed alongside his horror obsession ...... but I can remember my perfectly normal, kind and law abiding brother having a Facebook profile wearing a gas mask some years ago, so I won't read anything into that.

Forensic teams carry out their work at the scene where the body of Kayleigh Haywood was found

Looks like a lake at the side of that field. Was Kayleigh found in the field or in the water? Just that there are no forensic tents up in the field?

Am I right in thinking that we've not had confirmation that they have been charged with murder?

That's right. They have been given another 24 hours to question them.

I'm curious as to why the police were specifically asking for sightings between Saturday afternoon and Monday early.
"Were you in the Diseworth or Belton areas between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning, did you see anyone or any vehicles acting suspiciously?

What about from 6 pm Friday until Saturday afternoon? Do they know it all until that time?

I was thinking it might be because she made contact to her parents on the Saturday morning so they know she was alive & well then, & that's the last time they heard from her? Jmo.

Police believe a body found in field is that of missing teenager Kayleigh Haywood http://bbc.in/1kGZMgk

From link above^^

There's still intense police activity in and around the village of Ibstock. Specialist teams are now concentrating their search around a lake about a mile to the north

So im guessing the extra 24 hours that they've been granted the morning is final. & they then have to either charge them or release them?

Thanks Skibs and Alyce.
It seems disrespectful to put in writing, but I was surprised she was left in a field when a large amount of water is nearby IYKWIM?

Do you know what it sounds so crazy that they left clothing littered around the area like flags, it makes me wonder if drugs are involved.

 • #633
They probably just threw her stuff in different areas/places to not give the police a specific area to search? Some of her clothes were found in the wagtail storage unit, her phone was found in the park?

These next 24 hours will be interesting when the final decision has to be made.

Just noticed this under one of the pics in the article, that I'd missed "It is not yet clear exactly where the body was found"

I find it all very odd. Kayleigh found in Ibstock, so quite close to SBs home.....but then this trail all the way up to Belton. Very haphazard - probably not the right word, but certainly strange.
Still thinking, as you said earlier Tortoise, that the phone could have been dropped in the dark, as that also seems odd, to be found in the park. Clearly not hidden very well.

Tortoise, can you expand on that please for a dimwit like me? TIA

@skibaboo Yeah, the police said it was in a field in Ibstock. That's all ive read.

I'm interested to know what led the police to arrested them both so quickly, I mean it was pretty fast. Could it be they we're attempting to dispose of evidence but the police presence put a stop to it and something led police quickly back to them? I think Kayleigh's phone gave them clues but there must be other reasons the police arrested them BOTH so soon?

Only that what they did by dropping things around and not hiding them, sounds like the actions of a person or people who were a bit out of their minds.

I think we can be sure that at least one of them is going to be charged with something. They cannot be questioned any further once charged, so the police will want to get as much as they can.
