Oh how terrible, I feel sick. So glad they've managed to track him down and arrest him but how terrifying that a murderer can manage to flee the country so quickly.

That he did flee the country so quickly certainly may raised police suspicions. imo

I know this is unlikely but police never clarified if they found her phone and friends said that she was messaging them on Sunday night. Is it possible that the murderer took her phone with him and that's how they tracked him? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Questions are always necessary imo. But it could have been her phone, or CCTV, or a visual description from witnesses. Doubt if we will be told.

Well the Mail have said it's her ex boyfriend.

Doesn't surprise me: top of my suspect list. Wasn't random being in her own garden. Great that they have him. Must have been on their own suspect list from the start. It's not going to bring her back, but must give her family and friends some relief.

I suspected they might have an active line of enquiry given that they weren't appealing for help.

When I Googled his name, it looks like The Sun named him almost every day in their various articles. No other UK MSM did. I guess The Sun have a source on the force.

why would you go to Kew Gardens if you were moving house the next day?

Not Kew Gardens.....a garden in Kew, near Richmond, actually I think it is East Sheen but Kew is better known

Why wouldn't you? If that's what you want to do... but, either way, not 'Kew gardens' the attraction - as @jessie says - A garden IN Kew ... her garden.

Aare Pere, assistant prosecutor at the North District Prosecutor's Office, said in court that there were legal grounds for his extradition to the UK, which the suspect's lawyer, Nadežda Kikkas, concurred with, BNS reports.

The suspect also requested transfer to the UK as quickly as possible, according to BNS, who added that he is continuing to protest his innocence in the case.
