Found Deceased UK - Leah Croucher, 19, Emerson Valley, Milton Keynes, 14 Feb 2019 #4

I've found this article regarding the witnesses. @Kaykedi is quite right that it was one person, then two people who were walking together. The article I found also states the locations where the witnesses saw her...

"The first witness, was walking alone along the wooden boardwalk on the eastern side of the lake when she saw a female between 9.30am and 10am."

"The other two witnesses, who were walking anti-clockwise around Furzton Lake together, saw the girl between 10am and 10.15am near the sports pavilion, and described her as being visibly angry, upset and crying."

"They then saw her again around 20 minutes later just after passing the Premier Inn, and described her to be in a calmer state. They also believe she may have been speaking to somebody on her mobile phone."

Was it Leah Croucher who was spotted "angry and upset" on her phone on the day she vanished in Milton Keynes?
Thank you HollyHunter9 for linking this article

Thanks for the link, can almost imagine the corny scenario of a young woman waiting to meet someone to go for a weekend getaway, he is a no show, a phone call confirms this, she becomes upset, angry and crying, so he tells her they will meet after all, but at a different spot.
speculation, imo.

I quite agree dotr. If the witness statements are correct then perhaps at first she thought she had been stood up? In her upset state threatened to reveal the truth...All MOO

ETA: Does seem a coincidence she disappeared on a friday and the day before being valentine's day. Maybe the night previously she was stood up and so the meeting was re-arranged for the morning? Again MOO

It was two witnesses who were walking together, and, one witness walking alone if I remember rightly. So, two separate sightings.
Ha, just found the article I'd read regarding the sightings by the lake (I don't know how to copy it on here).
It says Leah may have been seen "angry, upset and crying" by a lake on the day she disappeared. It states three new witnesses reported seeing a woman matching Leah's description.
I read the article online on:

<Admin note: Link is Missing teen Leah Croucher may have been seen crying on day of disappearance | ITV News>
Thankyou!

IMO
There is too much emphasis being placed on the Premier Inn on the day of Leah's disappearance and the evening before, The search by the police was all over this area in the very beginning on foot & the helicopter.
I would like to be fairly confident in saying that as they searched the lake with divers, then they would have certainly walked into the hotel and asked if Leah had been seen & possibly viewed the CCTV.
There is also a couple of business premises just south of the hotel that would also likely have CCTV.
They have stated viewing hours & hours of CCTV.
I have attached a copy of the stated times of Leah's disappearance,

I believe from this that Leah's phone location was turned off on her walk home from work as she passed Furzton lake, not when she went back out and for the hour and 15 minutes.
so do find it highly unlikely that she walked back to there after going home and getting changed; it is quite a walk from her home to the hotel...
so if she had lied to her parents about where she was going this is why she turned her location service off on her way home and its just a coincidence that it was as Leah passed the lake.

I do also think from the time off her being seen at Tellytubby Hill and her phone being turned off, yes that is a 14 minute walk to the hotel but that isn't leaving even a minute for a conversation with anyone let alone anything untoward... so again that makes me believe if Leah did meet anyone this was willingly and turned her phone off herself....

Maybe LC had a second or new relationship going on, to try and make MrX jealous or get attention from him?
Had she been confiding in a male friend about her and MrX relationship?
Perhaps she was trying to illicit attention from MrX by turning her location off, perhaps he was trying to call her after work, asking where she was, what she was doing etc.
Maybe she turned her location off, not so her parents couldn't see where she was, but so HE couldn't see?
She may have agreed to meet the 'other man' in person on the fateful day.
I can't help thinking that there's some kind of relationship triangulation going on here, especially as MrX has an alibi.
eta - LC knew that if she wasn't at work that day MrX would notice and possibly look for her 'location'.

This scenario is not impossible, but I personally think it is not very likely. I think if Mr X was at all concerned about Leah he would have spoken with her parents and given them details about any possible other man.
As far as we have heard from her family Mr X has refused to give any information about their relationship or help in any way.
We have heard Mr X supplied an alibi ,but if he was with family members they could be protecting him .

I might be wrong, but I do not think Leah was the type to be playing games ,I think she was totally infatuated with Mr X and totally used by him.

When I say 'playing games' I don't mean it in a derogatory, overt or manipulative way, I just want to make that clear. But in an unconscious, desperate kind of way, due to her infatuation with him.

Out of curiosity, would he not have been at work (same workplace as LC) that day?

If X knew that LC was confiding in someone else perhaps that person is being 'protected' in some way?

I think it was stated that her brothers girlfriend at the time also worked at the same place, and also we know there is CCTV on entry in their workplace.. maybe Mr X alibi checked out?
I think there was a lot more going on at the time which is maybe why the police didn't investigate Mr X any further, that we know of anyway....
Do think it seems to be turning into a bit of a witch hunt on Mr X, when there could be numerous reasons why Leah disappeared.

There has never been,as far as I know, any official announcement to say he was in work. The fact he provided an alibi leads me to believe he was not in work that day. There might have been something said by the family to indicate he was not in work, but I can not find an article which quoted them saying this.

Brother of missing Leah Croucher is accused of threatening a man the 23-year-old was dating | Daily Mail Online
I'm not sure if I have attached the link correctly. In this article, Leah's brother is quoted as a saying. "groomed and mistreated her. he had MK's finest in his name. He 🤬🤬🤬cked with the wrong people" This is all my own opinion. Haydon was not meaning his family with the last sentence. He was referring to a rival drug gang of Mr X and associates who had taken Leah in retaliation for something that had happened. Sort of like a turf war. Maybe Milton Keynes residents would know if that was likely or not.

This might be where the comments about Mr X not being in work came from.

I am fully aware of the timeline and did not think she turned the phone location settings off when she went back out. I knew it was 15mins prior to getting home I just find it a rather big coincidence that both times the phones location was interfered with was near the lake. I'm not local to the area so unaware what other businesses are in the area, perhaps if you are local you could kindly share this information with us? (But hypotheticaly if I was having a secret affair with a colleague and we arranged to meet up I would pick somewhere such as a hotel rather than meeting in macdonalds or somewhere more public for example. IMO)

"I would like to be fairly confident in saying that as they searched the lake with divers, then they would have certainly walked into the hotel and asked if Leah had been seen & possibly viewed the CCTV."

I would like to be fairly confident of this too, however, no where has it been mentioned whether or not the police checked the cctv of the PIH. They have only said they checked hours of footage. I attach the DM article which states the facts around cctv but no mention of PIH

"Despite a wide-scale investigation in which police visited 4,000 properties and reviewed 1,200 hours of CCTV, no trace of her has been found and no one has been arrested in connection with the case."

"So if she had lied to her parents about where she was going this is why she turned her location service off on her way home and its just a coincidence that it was as Leah passed the lake."

Like @tedtink suggests, it is possible she turned off her location settings to hide it from someone else NOT her parents because if that were the case why did she not turn off her location settings 2 weeks prior when she lied about staying at the Jury Inn hotel on 3rd February? The phone company confirmed the first time her location settings were ever switched off was on her way home on the 14th feb. See articles below.

"On the evening of Saturday February 3, her dad dropped her off outside The Hub's Jury's Inn, where she told him she'd booked a room to spend a 'girlie' night with friends, drinking alcohol and gossiping.
But later it was proved Leah was not with her friends at all. And she didn't go to the Jury's Inn.
Instead she walked to the nearby Travelodge, where she had booked and paid for a room with her bank card."

We may well be barking up the wrong tree with regards to the Premier Inn, but just seems odd to me that phone was interfered with both times around by the lake. IMO.

Has 'County Lines' ever been mentioned on this thread?
Was the lake a 'drop off and pick up point'?

I would have thought a rival drug gang would be more likely to have attacked a victim rather than kidnapped them.
They tend to leave their victims where they are attacked .

I also took the "MK's finest" comment to not only mean this was in his user name, but that this Mr X was supplying "quality" drugs. Just my take on it. I could be wrong. At the beginning, I thought that Mr X was a much older business man with a wife and family. Then again, would anyone involved in a drug racket want to go to court to get a non molestation order. Surely that would only draw attention to yourself. I have too many thoughts on this case.

I used to live in that area, and am merely pointing out that on a busy Friday morning at school time there are numerous places on that route that Leah could of possibly got into a car and no attention would of necessarily been drawn to it or that it showed up on CCTV.
