I feel desperately sorry for Leah's family. We lost our daughter, 22, only child, 30 months ago and are still grieving terribly. Different scenario, was SADS, sudden adult death syndrome where her heart basically just stopped but we can't imagine what it must be like not to know but think she may be dead. Even an anonymous call would be better than endless years of not knowing.

My heart truly goes out to you, 30 months still not that long ago.

I was speaking to a couple of people from MK earlier through work and they/their friends thought that Leah was killed by a drugs gang because either X or her brother were dealing in drugs and got on the wrong side of supplier or rival gang and Leah was killed in revenge

imho that is complete and utter garbage, if she was killed by people in the drug trade they would not be subtle about it, they would likely leave her body in a very public place to send out a message, she would not be missing after all this time, drug dealers don’t work like that

If Leah were killed by a rival drugs gang because of alleged drug dealing by X, then it would have been a better warning to have killed her in the hotel room with X.

If it were a warning due to her brother possibly dealing, wouldn’t they have just killed him instead? Plus, if they did then he didn’t appear to know it was aimed at him, in my opinion from msm and social media.

I agree it seems pointless to kill as a warning and not display a body or some kind of claim. Although I guess drug dealers aren’t renowned for intelligence.

No, it all comes down to the relationship that Leah appears to have thought she had with X, in my opinion. I wonder if X is fuelling these latest rumours about revenge, Brian? Do you think that’s a possibility? Do any of the people you spoke to actually know him?

Crazychris, I am so sorry about your daughter, and I am totally in awe that you have room in your broken heart to even be posting to help discussions.

Am not aware of them having any connection with X

The general feeling they had and others they know shared is that X had nothing to do with all this and that the answer to Leah’s fate lies with Haydon not X

They felt that Leah might have been killed to punish Haydon because he fell out with the type you don’t want to fall out with, Haydon either using drugs and not paying a debt or dealing drugs and a fallout over that

They felt his erratic behaviour over X was just him lashing out and trying to deflect blame and that his subsequent suicide was out of guilt that his actions resulted in the death of his sister

I think that's a very good point - deflecting suspicion

I think that drugs is a 1 in a million likelihood but this pattern is common in many parts of the world, in the drug cartel wars in Mexico and Colombia it was common for gangs to kill family members, often entire immediate family, and keep the one they were punishing alive as psychological torture is much more damaging punishment than a quick bullet in the head where it is over in a couple of seconds

While you would not get Mexicans and Colombians controlling drug trade in MK it is possible given Haydon’s troubled background that anyone who fell out with him could want to break him mentally rather than physically

Like I said highly highly unlikely though this happened

Yes, just as raw as if it was yesterday. Only her little dog's keeping me going. Must be absolutely horrrendous to lose two. Well one and one missing but not looking hopeful after so long.

I hate to say it and maybe shouldn't but do wonder if his suicide could be connected as someone above said.

I read these posts last week but wanted to ponder before replying. I don’t know Leah’s family or Milton Keynes, so my knowledge is only from following the case, including Facebook. If Leah’s brother had any knowledge of what actually happened to Leah, or had contributed himself in any way to her disappearance and killed himself out of guilt, would he not have left a note or confession or message to his family to explain that? Nine months after she went missing is a long time to carry that knowledge, and he had had contact with the police if he were being dragged to court due to his interaction with X.

I still think X is key. As far as I understand, he seems to have denied a relationship with Leah that seems to have occurred.

Where are you, Leah?

One of the reasons that I don’t think her brother killed her, either accidentally or in anger, is that I think he would have faked a message from her to her family. My opinion - not backed up by any evidence - is that he would have been able to word it convincingly.

I was going to post this earlier this week. Then I saw it was his birthday, and that was just too sad a time.

In my random opinion, it would have been too risky for X to send a text message from Leah. Or if someone acted on X’s behalf, then X may not have had access to the phone after it was manipulated whenever the location was turned off.

I am sure that Leah’s disappearance will remain fresh in people’s memories, despite the passage of time. I will be glad when someone eventually speaks to the police or rings Crimestoppers.

Still no news?

I wonder what LE think happened to Leah? Is anyone actively searching for her?

When I saw the notification tonight of a new post on Leah’s thread, I was hoping it was going to be some news of Leah being found or even just fresh info on the case, the silence from LE & the media is deafening & it does seem she’s been forgotten.
