Very soon it will be a whole year since Haydon passed. Thoughts are with the families. I hope the police are still investigating Leah’s disappearance. I really hope some new leads come forward.

Police reporting portal is still available, use it please:

Thinking of everyone today on the anniversary of Haydon passing away. I cannot imagine the horrendousness of having to visit your son’s grave to tell him that your daughter is still mysteriously vanished.

Someone, somewhere can give the police some info that will help. Send it through.

'Minuscule' hope left that Leah Croucher is alive, say her heartbroken parents in Milton Keynes
16th November 2020
''And they have admitted they have only a 'minuscule piece of hope' left that the 21-year-old will one day come home, safe and sound.

"Are we silly for still hoping and dreaming?" said her father John, a taekwondo instructor.

Today is particularly heartbreaking for the Crouchers as it marks the one year anniversary of Leah's brother Haydon taking his own life, Haydon, 24, had been tortured by the lack of progress in finding his sister, an inquest heard last week.'

''Her family are convinced she was not suicidal and did not vanish alone or out of choice, They are certain somebody has information about her disappearance and have appealed repeatedly for them to come forward and tell the truth.'

John Croucher with Haydon and Leah
"Our world was and is still destroyed, more so than ever. Today we lay more flowers at Haydon's grave, wishing we had news to tell him. All we have to offer him is the usual, leads are still coming in, people still think they are seeing your sister, Leah. But none of them are her. We can hear his voice in our heads, glumly saying" none of them are ever her.

We miss you both so much. Everyone misses you so much. It still hurts now as much as it did 21 months ago. We still have that lead feeling in our chests. Heavy hearted we drag ourselves through each day. The whole family are struggling with the pain of your disappearance."

John has appealed for people to continue to look to Leah and share posts about her on social media as far and wide as they can."

"Please to everyone who reads this, don't think we have forgotten about our children because we haven't posted often lately. We are just hurting so much. It's difficult to sit here and write, putting our pain into words. We still need your help. We still need you to look for our beautiful Leah.

"When out shopping during lock down, please look for our little girl. She is out there somewhere. We still need you to please share this post. Help us finally get some news about Leah to take to Haydon. Please."

Anybody with any information about what happened to Leah should call police on 101 or ring Crimestoppers charity anonymously and free on 0800 555 111.''

Have there ever been any arrests made in relation to Leah’s disappearance? I don’t recall seeing anything in the papers. Would an arrest always be reported, even if the suspect is not named?

(I was reading the latest article about the unrelated Melanie Hall case, where it says 11 people have been arrested and released over the years. It made me wonder for Leah).

I actually have no idea. If the media doesn't report any arrests i dont know how you could find out?

Would they notify family, maybe?

I just did a quick search online to see if there were any recent updates and one thing I did notice was that there had been a lot of attempted kidnappings in milton Keynes over the past couple of years, particularly in the bletchley area. It got me thinking, looking at the CCTV of leah walking to work, she's very young looking and with her back pack on too, she could easily be mistaken for a school girl.

It's certainly a possibility. But with all the background info we have of what was going on for Leah at the time (relationship, lying to parents, switching off location on phone etc) I think it much more likely to be someone she knew and trusted.

Also the chance she would have put up a decent struggle if an abduction attempt was made, considering her taekwondo background. I just think there would have been far easier targets for a would-be abductor.

Yes, I agree, I still believe it was someone she knows. I think I'm just clutching at straws for some kind of answer. Of all the cases I follow, this one bothers me the most. :(

Yeah this is the one that bothers me most too. It's certainly a possibility though. I'd say more of a possibility than either suicide or voluntary AWOL anyway.

Poor Haydon, as you can imagine he intrigued our sleuthing minds at the time. IMO he knew enough about the relationship with Mr X to form a v strong opinion and have a lot of anger. So he definitely knew more than for instance we do. Whatever he knew caused him to end up in Aylesbury crown court, indirectly.

In terms of his own tragic end, again IMO I think it was most likely a combination of grief for his sister, despair at not having answers, frustration that Mr X remained unaccountable (so it seems) and his own mental health issues.

Heartbreaking for his family. There's v little talk locally now, I really hope the case is still being actively worked though.
It is always difficult to know how someone with Mental Health Issues will react . Hayden took hos life whilst his sister was still missing .

Would he not have wanted to stay around to see if she turned up ?
Did he know in his heart that she was dead and so he would never see her again ?

Would he not have stayed around to search and search for her d to find the culprit ?

This is all very strange.

Am not aware of them having any connection with X

The general feeling they had and others they know shared is that X had nothing to do with all this and that the answer to Leah’s fate lies with Haydon not X

They felt that Leah might have been killed to punish Haydon because he fell out with the type you don’t want to fall out with, Haydon either using drugs and not paying a debt or dealing drugs and a fallout over that

They felt his erratic behaviour over X was just him lashing out and trying to deflect blame and that his subsequent suicide was out of guilt that his actions resulted in the death of his sister
This is plausible as then Hayden takes his life because of guilt ?

I think one of the common features with a mental health crisis is that logic and rational thinking can go out of the window.

I reckon he had a good idea of who was responsible for her disappearance and the fact that he nor anyone else seemed to be able to do anything about it just added to his undoubted stress.

I personally never believed this to be the case. IMO Haydon had probably been unwell before Leah disappeared and what happened exacerbated his health problems.

I agree HongKong. I don't think Hayden had anything to do with it. But I think the not knowing and lack of progress tormented him. When people suffer with mental health issues all rationale goes out of the window. A friends husband committed suicide a few years ago. He did it in the garage so must've known that either his wife or kids would be the ones to find him. We will never truly know what is going on in someone's head to get to such an extreme outcome.

There is an article in MK Citizen within the last day or so, confirming that no one has (ever) been arrested in relation to Leah’s disappearance. I don’t know how to link the article in here.

Leah’s dad is reported to have stated that they feel that she is either dead or held against her will. Obviously, they want her back either way.

The police are ‘baffled’ and remain committed to locating Leah.

I am baffled too. So, please, someone who can unbaffle us all, call the police on 101 quoting Operation Dawlish and solve the mystery. Collect your £10k reward. Make that call right now.

Leah sometimes wears glasees
Nobody has ever been interviewed or arrested as a suspect in Leah Croucher case, reveal police in Milton Keynes
''The Citizen this week asked police for an update of how many officers remained in the team searching for Leah and what leads they had been investigating.

We also asked how many people have been interviewed as suspects since the home-loving teenager vanished in February 2019.

A police spokesman answered: "No-one has been interviewed as a suspect.".

''Police say they have thoroughly investigated all leads and evidence regarding Mr X but not found anything that could connect with Leah's disappearance. They have previously said they spoke to Mr X early in the investigation and have no reason to be suspicious.

Leah's dad John told us in an interview earlier this year: "Mr X is the only anomaly that was in Leah's life. The only thing she lied about. We feel information he may have is our only chance of finding her.''

I don't know if this has been mentioned or searched by police but 7 minutes away from where Leah went missing Thier is an abandoned building in bletchley known as g block and as it was part of a coding/decoding school for the British military it's quite tucked away and hidden as the rest has been turned into a museum

I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere, might be worth mentioning it to the police maybe? I've also never seen any public searches for leah by the community? I feel so bad for Leah's family, they deserve to have their daughter back. :(
