Detectives are appealing for help to find a missing man after his rucksack was found by the River Humber. Leam James, 27, has been reported missing from his Lancashire home since December 5.

The next day, on December 6, a black Cabrini rucksack, which is believed to have contained Leam's items, was handed in to the Water’s Edge Visitor Centre on Maltkin Road in Barton-upon-Humber.

Humberside Police are now appealing to find more information from the cyclist who handed in the rucksack - which officers think belongs to Leam.

Barton is the 1st place you come to when you cross the Humber Bridge from Yorkshire into Lincolnshire. The bridge is sadly a notorious suicide spot. Unfortunately this was the 1st thing I thought of when I just read where his bag was found :-(
