So they have had about 10 hours so far.

Do we think CM is the problem...how culpable she was....or is it both of them they are struggling with ?

Yes I could imagine assessing CM's guilt would take a bit longer as she was described as mentally "slow" and with below-average IQ. That could bring up a discussion about how much she suspected or if she suspected anything at all. IIRC according to her it was only in the evening that it dawned on her what he had done, when she saw the stabbing being covered in the news. Did she say what she did next? I think she wasn't asked while giving testimony, or it wasn't reported. She should have called police right away, I think she didn't. But I have to admit I'm a bit hazy on the details. In any case imo her guilt is not as clear cut as his, so that might be why it's taking some time.

Bringing this bit back up - CMs response when she saw the news about the murder

Chelsea Mitchell is asked if the flat was a hiding place?
She replies no.
They return to her home later that night and it’s there at around 10pm that she sees posts on Facebook referencing the stabbing at the station.

Chelsea Mitchell says: “My body shut down and froze” as she linked the events.
She said she didn’t ask Pencille about it as she knew police would be there soon.
CM: “I didn’t know anything that happened on the train”.

She said she didn’t ask Pencille about it as she knew police would be there soon.

How did she know? Was she assuming police would come soon because she read it was all captured on cctv maybe?

I think the reporting had gaps here. I would imagine that the prosecution asked her what she did, did she call police? And if she did the defence would have emphasized that fact. But it sounds to me like she didn't.

When was he arrested? That same evening or the next day?

I'm trying to put myself in her shoes, assuming for a moment that she is telling the truth, I would not call police in front of the person who just killed someone, partner or not, and who I know is anyway mentally unstable. I would wait for a moment I can get out of earshot without raising suspicion. There was a child too in the home right?

Well but she could have send a message to their facebook page, for example ....

Like I said I find it not so easy to establish her guilt. Maybe it's different for the jury who seen how she comes across on the stand.

All moo.
