This is exactly what I had in mind all along. Then poor Libby has an accident. but is the river near there?

I suffered severe anxiety at Libby’s age and I’ve had PTSD. If I found a good hiding place in the park after something as traumatising as what we think has gone down, I honestly don’t think I’d move until someone found me. I know nothing about that park, but places can have all sorts of tunnels and things from war time era going on underground. Libby could be somewhere where she doesn’t even have a perception of time or night/ day. Praying that this is the case, even though it is probably the least likely of all scenarios.

I think it's good to keep an open mind.

But IMO if he took her to that park and she ended up so scared that she needed to run and hide, and as a result something bad happened to her, then he is still responsible.

That's not 'having an accident'. It's probably manslaughter. You still go to prison for it.

Dont want to dampen anyones suspicions but...
It is quite a monumental leap from a flashing incident on boxing day and abduction in early february.

From what i know (i have no personal body of work!) About flashers and flashing, a very large percentage of flashers actually get their kicks from the whole performance and get off on having shocked their victim.
Another large demographic of flashers are those who simply lack the required inter-personal skills to take a more "conventional" approach to the opposite sex.
There are only a very small amount of abductors/murderers who start out with flashing.
I suppose what i am saying is that flashing would be classed more as a specialist interest rather than something to be casually dabbled with.
The only flashers to whom i have ever knowingly spoken to tend to tell a tale of compulsion and are often at a loss how to stop....but none of them suggested any ideas of anything darker.

There was one exception....he genuinely believed that he was providing the audience with a thrill!....,saw it as a kind of public service!!

I suppose the obvious thing to say is that in this case we have no idea at all of this chaps backstory......who knows what that perhaps reveals?

Humberside police have posted an update on their page...the hull live one just states the same.

The update has been posted on news sites too now..Will find a link.

Just says they have been given extra time, searches still ongoing and Libby is still been treat as a missing person.

That's correct, I've had the same happen to me, and I wasn't the only person to report the same guy, fortunately I'm ballsy enough and went berserk shouting at the man but the police took the whole thing very very seriously as they thought this guy was escalating & was about to go on to do something worse. Apparently since I went at him, there have been no more reports, but that sort of behaviour is definitely a pre-curser to more violent offending.

My daughter was 13 and recovering from a Stroke when a 'man' exposed himself outside our home - threw stones at her bedroom window to get her attention first ... this happened 3 times over a year, him getting 'braver' each time, culminating in him trying to get into her bedroom window.
After she attempted suicide and we were all existing in one room, terrified - we left the home I'd owned for 15 years and fled to a friends but to let on a estate.

I am enraged whenever a 'flasher' is reported on my local newspapers FB - instantly there are men tagging their friends and joking about it but it is definitely no joking matter - these men DO escalate and they DO ruin lives.

There must have been some level of escalation. Even if today's occurances were opportunistic which they seem to be he wouldn't have just gotten up this morning and gone straight to that. I'm sure they'll be other offences he started out with... Same here. If PR is guilty I think we'll find some other offences hidden in his last

What terrible things I'm reading.

It is... Its quite a close knit community round here (although it's got a bit of a reputation for being a "rough" council estate) so news spread very fast. One girls was saved because a woman made bus driver perform emergency stop when they drove past and she saw it happening but man got away and made another 2 attempts. I've seen the cctv (full colour, perfect capture of event_makes a change) and I can't imagine how scared that girl was but how brave. She gave as good as she got and he ran off when she caught him good. It's quite terrifying to think it could have been one of my girls
