If he was seen running from the park right after the screams were heard how would he have time to hide the body so well?

We still don’t know for sure if both screaming incidents were to do with Libby? as no other crime was reported that night in that area on that night it could be likely
Could another crime have been committed that night that’s yet to be reported?

He must have I think. Maybe he went back the following day and the police have him on CCTV or something coming and going from the park. Because they seem sure from the activity that a. It happened in the park and b. He did it.

But would he have had time? Does anyone know how quickly the police started searching that area, I seem to think it was quite quickly and there has been random police activity there ever since...

You mean after he'd taken all of 20 seconds to throw her in the river? I'm not saying that's what happened but it really wouldn't take very long in that sort of scenario.

My thoughts too.

We keep coming back to the river as a possible disposal site. Poor Libby, I really hope she didn't end up in there.

I know the police have "Waded" through the pond but can someone clarify if there have been under water searches too?

I don't think we know for sure. But bear in mind there are a few water sources:

The river Hull.... which is right next to....
The big pond at Oak Road Playing Fields
Two smaller ponds within the playing fields
Beverley & Barmston drain (more like a shallow canal)

How close is the river ? Because he'd still have to carry a hundred pound girl to the river and then have enough energy to run back through the park. All in a short space of time.
Also the police don't seem to have found an actual crime scene.it would be hard to cover your tracks in a pitch black park. But if he returned the next day he could have had time to kind of clean up the crime scene.

I don't think we know for sure. But bear in mind there are a few water sources:

The river Hull.... which is right next to....
The big pond at Oak Road Playing Fields
Two smaller ponds within the playing fields
Beverley & Barmston drain (more like a shallow canal)

So several sources, and I think if there had been under water searches then that would have been a prominent feature of the thread which it hasn't been, however statistically most people who have found themselves in the water have been found within days.... Especially along a river, but a deep & vast pond, then maybe not so...

If I recall correctly, wasn't the search for Libby started really quickly by Police and released in the media quick too?

Could this be because screams/something concerning were reported before Libby disappearance was public knowledge maybe? Just because only one person had told the MSM they heard screams does not mean no one else did.

They might have been close to the river when he attacked LS - and adrenalin / panic would surely kick in to enable him to run back out of the park.

The police released a description and photo of Libby mid morning Friday ie less than 12 hours after she went missing. I reckon whoever heard the prolonged screaming must have called it in straight away (if they hadn't at the time they heard it) because the pond was being searched the next day, Saturday.

Anyone else noticed there is one house on its own in the carpark of the playing fields? It would be nearer and potentially have better views of running man, I'd love to know which direction he was running from.

Hi all! Haven't had time to read the last 20 pages of thread 2 yet. What's this about a bench in the park? Did we get some new information?

I'm not sure what bench it is, we might have to wait until a daytime photo.

I've noticed the house at the entrance to the park, surely they would have heard any screams?

I don't understand why they entered the park in the first place when he had a car, very suspicious seeing as sitting on a metal bench in winter is very cold. And it appears the park would be very dark at night, it seems to have no lights which would have made it very difficult to see without a phone to light up your path. Being drunk in a park with lots of water and no light is a recipe for disaster.

Just near the bench there is that car park and then it's just a short walk to the bench. If that is the right bench.
