Whatever he said to get her to go with him must have been persuasive because there is only just over 20 minutes or so between grey beard man speaking to her at 11.45 and smoking man putting her in the car at 12.09 (if that is LS and PR in the video). For at least 8 of those minutes he was in or around his car.

I am beginning to think they weren't complete strangers - she possibly knew him by sight, either from the gym or as a friend of a friend of an acquaintance type of thing.

It was below freezing that night and maybe snowing too, either way I think ground would have been frozen solid as the pond was completely iced over the next morning. So possible he wouldn't have got very muddy because of frozen mud? JMO.

Good point about the frozen ground. Were the screams LS falling over whilst running away?! Ive tried to think of reasons why the screams would be intermittent and this makes sense.

Annoyingly, I can't get into the carpark on streetview. Do you have a picture of the toilet entrance? The house I'm referring to is the red brick one which looks like a private home. I can see on an aerial view that there is another building on the other side of the car park but can't look at it from the ground.

Google Maps

Hope I’ve done this correctly. If not go to the bottom of Beresford Drive and double click and you can see the entrance of car park.

Jmo if he is guilty of abducting her, then she is not alive. I’m sorry to say it, but there is no way she could be, imo.

I think unfortunately it would also make sense if her mouth was covered for most of those 15 minutes.

I think he looks a bit like the Shrugger so maybe she initially mistook PR for him? Or she felt more comfortable with someone of a similar age looking like someone she knows?

He has been cleared by police. I reckon he was seen by a witness or bus dashcam or something. The police put out an appeal to find a man with long grey hair and a beard at teatime Friday and he'd come forward by that night and been very helpful. Cleared.

I admire your patience Cags!

Cool thanks. Can you see the red brick house? I think that’s private property.

Ha! My husband and children wouldn’t say that today, been busy here but a bit rubbish in real life! Did a bit of baking with the kids (lemon shortbread hearts if anyone wants one) and that’s about it.

Can anyone tell by description and/or photos of suspect whether they think he'd be able to carry Libby easily? Say, in a fireman's lift type of carry. I'm around Libby's height and body type and I know my partner can easily carry me quite far if he had to. I'm wondering if PR could potentially have carried Libby to the river with ease, maybe even whilst holding his phone/torch in his other hand? Could be a completely idiotic theory, I'm very tired again, this case has kept me awake for a week now.

Well we know he likes going to the gym so I would say possibly

Ugh... I'm glad you noticed my question as I thought no one had seen it but your answer gave me chills. I know he went to the gym but I was sort of hoping no one else would think he was capable so I could get the thought out of my head. Of course, PR may be innocent, I'm just thinking up scenarios that may be possible.

That’s the way its looking but you just never know .. maybe his intention in panic was to kill her but he could not go through with it so kidnapping her was his only option left

Horrifying to think that if he kidnapped her and was keeping her alive somewhere unknown to anyone else, she'll have been all alone for around 4 days now. :(

..if it is getting muddy your probably approaching water, but because the mud was frozen you'd never know.

Good point. And if you end up in freezing cold water you might scream ... He might have chased her, she fell in and screamed. He might have tried to get her out but couldn't, so he just ran off at one point. jmo

Yes, maybe someone lives there that looks after the park maybe.

Yep I think we’re all going through scenarios lol .. but he might have struggled, especially with the snow slippery service too

A father of two young children is likely to be very familiar with the local park and play area. Much more so than a student who moved in after the summer months had passed.
I feel like this choice of location gives insight into who was making the decisions by this point, if indeed they were there.

Sounds lovely! :) I'd love to take you up on your offer but I'm too far from you.

unless he has someone else helping him but worst case scenario like it’s been mentioned on here she could be in the sea - if she is still alive let’s just hold on to the hope the police can find her
