As the bench Libby was spotted on is near at least one takeaway, I wonder if she was trying to sober up by waiting for a takeaway? I’ve seen at least one comment saying that bench is often used by people waiting for their takeaways. I wonder if the takeaway was asked if she went in?

(I like how you guys say “takeaway”, we say “takeout” in the States)

I’m really hoping they will have enough to remand him today. I think the combination of all charges together, the fact he is also a suspect in another case and the details of motive behind the burglary’s may just be enough to keep him in. Hopefully if they do have dna from these previous cases aswell as witnesses it will be enough to prove that he’s a danger to the public.

I hope there is a court artist in there. It could show scratches on his face and what glasses he is wearing (see above comments about his glasses possibly being broken or lost atm)

Hello, yet another newbie here who has lurked for a few days desperately hoping for news of Libby being found safe.

I’ve read most of the 3 previous threads and apologise for retreading well worn ground or asking stupid questions, but there are a few things I can’t shift an uneasy feeling about…

I’m curious what type of car went past the parked car on the CCTV, could it by chance be the same silver car as the one driven by the helpful grey bearded man that approached Libby at the bench? Is it possible he drove round to Haworth Street after offering assistance to Libby?

If the passing car is same as helpful grey bearded man’s; could he and PR both be part time unlicensed taxi drivers, working the same area, or even know one another?

Is it possible it is the same car that the man charged with rape on the 19th January was driving? The guy lives just around the corner on Libby’s road, has a similar car description and appearance to helpful grey bearded man. Could “Outraging Public Decency” relate to dogging, as, with a little research, I believe that the skatepark that was cordoned off after the rape is next to a known dogging site? At a stretch could the local dogging activities also link PR and bearded man charged with rape?

I realise that the helpful grey bearded man who approached Libby has been “identified” by the police, but does that necessarily mean cleared? Could the police have him identified, but are watching him? Also, for some reason I find the term “that he ‘really helped’ with their investigations” slightly odd police language.

…So many silver cars, bearded men, charges of sex offences in such a small area, are they all coincidences?

I wonder if the takeaway was asked if she went in?

Of course

For example, door to door canvassing of the businesses is one way the police get relevant CCTV

IMO they have CCTV of libby on the bench. That is how they know she is no longer there at 12.09

Slowly reading through the thread and apoloigise if I'm repeating what has already been said.

Is it possible that his legal team have advised him to confess to less serious crimes as a way of deflection & buying themselves more time to defend the abduction allegation?

Or is this the best the police have been able to achieve and want to keep him under tabs until more evidence comes to light, which they will be able to do now.
