It is a dark thought, but the only glimmer of hope we have that Libby is still alive - even if under the most terrifying and grotesque of conditions. If it is or becomes the working suspicion, would the NCA and European/international policing and intelligence agencies get involved? There'd be a lot of resources put to use there.
Maybe it's a stretch, but these are desperate times. I hate to think she is suffering somewhere, drugged up, terrified, confused, abused for other people's sick greed and pleasure, perhaps alongside other victims. It's the ultimate nightmare. But the alternatives can't provide a better outcome for her loved ones? If there is even a faint scenario, however grotesque, where she is found, rescued and brought home to receive the love, attention and help she needs to rekindle something of a life, how can we not hope for it?

It's all so confusing.
