Someone that's maybe got something to hide themselves??

Your probably absolutely correct I'm just putting my thoughts out there.
True, it could be someone with a shady life that wants to avoid the attention.

But there is shady and then there is abduction/murder.

I don't think many people would risk very long prison sentence just because they lent someone a car.

I personally think they are having difficulty proving any connections like this because they don't exist.

He either acted alone or it's not him.

If you are humouring my narrative theorising....then where has he left LS until the car swap , given the car boot etc is clean?

Gosh I need to stop with the port...how much forensic evidence is likely to be there if she had been put in the boot concealed in something?

Hate this way of thinking but that's were I'm at.

Let's be honest though, he would know where Welly was, and he'd already been caught flashing on Libby's street, so I doubt he would have actually needed directions to either.

I agree. I’ve asked my daughters what they would do in Libby’s situation, dropped off by taxi but cannot get in the house. They agreed they would head back towards the Welly, explain to the doormen the lack of key and ask them to find friends. They agreed they would be more likely to accept a lift off a person nearer their own age, but, they said the lift would be to the Welly, couldn’t see the point in going back to their house as know they cannot get in. I relayed that the driver had the house address so must have gone that way, how else would he know it? Reply, we all carry our ID when we go out, it has our age and address on, if he’s nasty he won’t be taking her home.
If the driver saw the cctv clip, see themselves and car, did he then enter the address in satnav to cover himself.
Hope not the case.

I'm wondering if he borrowed anyone else's car either later that night or early the next morning before the police were searching so much.

I know the general consensus is she is in the river and she probably is but I have a niggling feeling she was moved.
Could this/ how could this be linked to the fact that a somewhat suprising(?) early concern/scale of search was launched?

I don't know not thought that much ahead...I need a nap I think.

Think about it, if someone you knew well asked to borrow your car then 5 days later is arrested for something like this case, you'd be torn with coming forward but terrified you'd implicated yourself and keeping quiet. I think you'd want to do the right thing but as time went on it might become more difficult look worse to come forward. JMO.

What struck me about that is how busy it still was for the time of night.

Even on the side streets lots of lights on in houses etc.

I'd have no worries walking around there in the dark on my own.

Probably not near the park but definatly in the well lit areas.
It was good watching the video as it put a lot of things in perspective. The amount of silver hatchbacks is crazy. You really notice these things unless your looking specifically for a silver car.

Drinking and thinking.... it's what I do best! Then I sober up and realise my thinking was warped ramblings.

I wonder if she sat on the bench waiting for the bus. That bus stop right next to the bench would take her to the Welly. ?

Wrong Direction. Would need to be over the road

Or maybe stole a car?

We know he's been charged with burglary. Could he have stole someone's keys and pinched a car too ?

Bit much??

No. I'd be too worried to keep quiet. With the amount of CCTV and ANPR around these days, I'd feel it was likely that my car would be spotted eventually and there'd inevitably be a knock on the door.

This is something which makes no sense to me either, why would she get dropped home (a few minutes walk) when she can’t even get in the door!

No.
She was on the wrong side of the road

You’d need to be at the other side of the road to catch the bus, more likely just sat down for a rest.
