Just had a notification from Hull Live. Police are searching gardens in Riverdale Road.

Riverdale Road is 0.9 mile from Haworth Street, 0.9 miles from Oak Road, 0.8 miles Wellesley Avenue and 1.4 miles from Raglan Street.

Edit- Apparently Riverdale Road backs on Oak Road playing field.

Thanks. I believe the police were searching the rear gardens of the houses.

Thanks. I believe the police were searching the rear gardens of the houses.

They back onto the playing fields, separated by fencing & shrubs

And I don't mean to be too critical of LE but don't the police have google maps as well? Why wouldn't this area have been searched much earlier?

I've asked before but missed any responses (maybe there weren't any if no one knows) but this is in relation to the equipment used to detect a person uder something which they had on PRs loft from outside.

Have all searches been purely by hand or has this been used to search anywhere else eg the homes around Libby's / outbuildings / sheds etc or was this only at the suspects house?

Those infrared cameras do you mean? There were pics of them being used on sheds and outbuildings somewhere - was it around the Oak Road area - anyone recall? Was it Claremont Ave rear?

Odd that they seem to be searching the gardens of houses at the opposite side of the playing fields to all the other searches near Oak Road.
Does anyone know if all the gardens of Etherington Road have been searched too?

Just to add to my response above. We have seen these used to look in gutterings in the Samantha Eastwood case.
IMOO they are used more for ease to access difficult area such as roofs and gutterings. Also might provide a record that can be viewed later. Otherwise it would need police climbing ladders - Health & Safety stuff.

They seem to have been very focussed in that area of Oak Park and immediate surrounds for some time now. I wonder if that is going on anything substantial they know and have not divulged to the public, other than the screams from the area?

Yes I think it was the rear of the gardens on Claremont Avenue IIRC

Thsnks everyone. I seem to have missed all of those reports. I only saw it in use at PR's house

Unfortunately the Police licenses for google maps were heavily cut under the Tory austerity programme in 2016
