IMO
I think he was already at the police station and was originally arrested for investigation of LS disappearance and I think LE confronted him with video of himself and his car and LS and I think he had to admit it to LE that he picked her up so he gave them a "story". Then he had to tell his loved ones something about why he was not coming home.

Some think he only told his wife and then she relayed his story to his Mom and Sister. This sounds most logical to me. He could have phoned home trying to get bail money too. Hard to say but I do think he was in LE hands and that is why he told his relatives the same "story" he likely told LE.
Msm did say his wife relayed what PR said to her to his mum in poland after his arrest.

I'm only one coffee in. It's too early for the B word!

What if he just gatecrashed house parties? That would give him access to people's rooms, it'd give him opportunity to watch students getting frisky and if he wasn't invited it could count as trespass, especially if entering individual private rooms.

Can someone tell me, if PR is found not guilty on the 11th or even guilty but with time being already served and he hops on the next flight to Poland, what will then happen in the case of any new evidence after this that points to him? What will the implications of him being in Poland be?

Currently we're members of the EU and so are Poland. So we are part ofo the European Arrest Warrant. So we can ask any EU members police force to arrest him and send him to us. Easy. However after 29th March nobody knows yet but it will be far more complicated.

The European arrest warrant system is already very complicated - it's definetly not a case of asking another EU country to force arrest and send them back.

It can get very political.

I've also wondered why he did that because it immediately links him to the case. An admission of involvement.

I personally think it was to explain what the police might find.

I also personally think it was stupid because he added extra detail. For example stating he intended to give her a lift home - if he hadn't said that to his sister then some of the other really plausible theories people have come up with (like the ones that lead her to running away from him and falling into water that would hide her body) fall down. Better to have just says he gave her a lift.

If it was me and I'd just given her a lift I'd have gone to the police.

Forgive me if I’ve missed something, but, do me actually know that he didn’t go to the police prior to his arrest ? Is it feasible that when it was announced LS was missing, that he told the wife and police then, that he had given her a lift. Had he said he stopped as he saw a dodgy looking (sorry Mr Beard) grey long haired & bearded man talking to a sobbing girl on a bench, so he parked up (as per cctv) and went to help. Could the police then have monitored him in the following days and see him heading to the park/playing fields and with the added cctv footage we haven’t been privileged to see, was he fiddling with his jammy dodger as some have previously suggested!?

The guy does appear to be blasé and has managed to convince family, friends, workmates & neighbours that’s he’s a lovely normal chap, whilst allegedly living a lie. Just throwing it out there, I’ll go put my crash helmet on ready...

But still less complicated than not being in it.

FYI how do you know what biscuit he was fiddling with? :D

It could have been a different variety I'm thinking round, oaty, little husky bits that stick in your throat? Starts with the letter H.

I wondered about keys a while back.

None of these house look particularly secluded so you would think, however he got in was pretty subtle...otherwise he may have been spotted (climbing through a window for example). I know if anyone was spotted climbing through my window Hetty Wainthrop over the road would be on to 101 immediately (Maybe not every street has nosey neighbours like mine). Any may be not every street is as busy or well lit either.

Also if some of these were student housing maybe the individual bedrooms would have locks on, how has he got around that? I've never lived in shared accommodation but if I did I'd lock my own door when I went out.

When I lived in a house share each of the 6 bedrooms had their own locks. I always locked mine, even when I was just going downstairs to make dinner or the use the washing machine! A couple of people never locked theirs though, even when they left for work in the morning!

Id lock mine for sure...you wouldn't want a house mate rifling through your stuff when your not in would you.

You’re correct; we don’t know that he didn’t volunteer the information pre-arrest and that he had given, or was about to give, a witness statement at the time of arrest.

Nobody knows but in my opinion voluntarily going to police with the story he gave to his sister would open a real can of worms for him.

If he is lying and the story he's given his sister is the one he's using it isn't very good. It's a short route from pick up to her house. Dropping her anywhere en route narrows the search radius and you'd expect her to be found. Conversely her wandering off again would surely give at least one sighting after 12.09. I'd have thought of a better one.

If he was telling the truth he might be scared that the possibility of being b the last person to see her.

So my guess is he didn't till he had to.

Do we also actually know that any of the stolen items were found at PR’s house? I know it’s been reported police were removing bags of evidence, but, were they ever specific about what were in the bags? I still find it unusual that he would have such items in a house he shares with his wife. Could they have taken fingerprints at the trespassed homes, which match PR’s? Is this how he’s able to say Not Guilty. I feel if there were the items reported to have been taken actually in his possession, then it would be hard to deny, surely?

Has it ever been confirmed that he has spoken to his sister or is it just reported in the tabloids? Seems strange to me that he would tell his sister first, rather than his wife. I’m sure I read that his mother said she spoke to his wife daily, but, this was reported in the tabs, so not necessarily correct.

We won't find that out till trial.

You would think that if he thought they had overwhelming evidence that he would just plead guilty wouldn't you... a lot of offenders don't though.

Loads of murder trials were the evidence has been overwhelming and the offender pleads not guilty still.

Whether it's arrogance that they think they will get away with it , hope that the jury's believes them , or just that they like putting victims through a trial who knows( could be a multitude of reasons)

You would assume they have his DNA from some of these crime scenes so that at least should be solid forensics.

I have a feeling he will change his plea next week, just my own opinion though.

In a house share I did lock. But as a student I didn't. Depends on type of house share really
