He is not on bail - he was never charged with kidnap.

Nah he's right, you can be released on bail even without a charge.

Must admit I'd not specifically seen it mentioned in this case but it makes sense if he is under investigation.

As far as I know, you can come and go within EEA countries with a national ID card rather than a passport, but surely that would be flagged.

Top of the list, although I'm not sure how effective it would be, would imagine it wouldn't be difficult to leave the country without one.

Could borrow a rowing boat from a local park, hes a fit lad, get to france in no time, who needs a passport if your determinded enough, only have to turn on the news to realise how easy it is to get into the uk so cant see leaving without a passport would be that hard.

Do we also actually know that any of the stolen items were found at PR’s house? I know it’s been reported police were removing bags of evidence, but, were they ever specific about what were in the bags? I still find it unusual that he would have such items in a house he shares with his wife. Could they have taken fingerprints at the trespassed homes, which match PR’s? Is this how he’s able to say Not Guilty. I feel if there were the items reported to have been taken actually in his possession, then it would be hard to deny, surely?

Think we tried before to discuss Nationality, Hull's strong Brexit vote and general topics around Multi-National and Multi-Ethnic areas within Northern English Cities but the usual kneejerk reactions of ignorance from some posters, along with Moderator oversensitivity and inability to see relevance to wider discussion, put paid to that.

My guess would be change to guilty for burglary if the stuff is in his house cos I'd think that was quite good evidence.

I'm not sure what standard of evidence you'd need for the other charges tho. Unless he's filmed things or there is DNA linking him.

However if I thought something more serious might crop up I'd be looking to get out if the country asap so guilty plea reduces sentence. Possibly less time between plea and sentencing date (less info to gather). No time wasted with a trial. So I'd guess guilty.

Being pedantic, he has not even been 'released under investigation' AFAWK. All that has been reported is that he "is still a person of interest in this investigation"
Better to stick to the facts we do know.
