@Pinkizzy Bin collection is Tuesdays, weeks alternating between recycling and non-recyclable. I can post a picture of previous dates if that really interests people.
I think what we want to know is: Were the bins emptied between Libby's disappearance and the first police search of PR's property?

Refresh my memory on the date of first searches and I'll tell you.

The alley runs to the rear of houses 28, 30, 32, 34, 36 and 38 Raglan Street. That doesn't include PR's address. This is also visible on Google satellite view.

What is his address? Could he feasibly throw something into the alley from his back garden.

I wonder could he climb into there - given his burglary skills?

I'm not sure I can post his address, given he's only a suspect at this point. It's clearly visible in MSM images though, and easy enough to work out with Streetview.

Hi Vermont, I see what you mean re the view of the alley. On my view there appears to be an unusual structure straddling the alley between his back garden and that of his counterpart on Sidmouth. Wonder what and who's it is.

That's just a shed at the bottom of a slightly longer garden on Sidmouth street. It's a common layout in this area.

So the alleyway stops short of his garden, and doesn't abut on to his property at all.
And his bin wouldn't have been emptied before the police arrested him and searched the property.
I don't believe they wouldn't have looked in his bin, but I wouldn't like to say about any neighbours' bins. Streetview shows most bins out at the front of the houses and therefore accessible, but that may have been a collection day.

People generally (lord help me) keep their bins in their front garden in that area - mostly because of the predominantly student/transitory residents. Bins have to be outside of property boundaries in order to be collected.

Not putting something incriminating in your own bin seems like 101 to me.

There are posts on this twitter account from Humberside Police dog team about
Police Dog Toby finding items in a garden after a robbery. (good boy!) Then there's p.d. Charlie ( both brown spotty spaniels like the one at Raglan street) but I'm not sure what he finds.

He’s the cadaver dog I believe.

One report on Hull live have said the police took something off the gate and put it in an evidence bag. Another that they took something from near the gate. So I think we can conclude that 5 weeks after Libby went missing the police have retrieved an item from very close to their POIs house? From an inaccessible alleyway used by fly tippers.

Is this usual? Or do we think they might now be investigating other crimes related to PR

I don't understand what they are suspecting might be there? Some item of hers? I mean, surely he would not have taken her back there, dead or alive? Would be interested to know if his wife was there living in house around the relevant days, or if perhaps she was away somewhere, visiting family or whatever?

It feels like an exercise in dotting Is and crossing Ts. Maybe there was a fabric snag on the gate - I can't see PR using it, though.

Looks like there's a chain and padlock on that gate. Who would have keys, council or residents?

Residents/landlords only. Alleys, and even housing terraces off the main street, are considered unadopted land and therefore not the responsibility of the council. We've tried to have a gate installed in a similar situation, but you need the permission of every property owner that it would affect - and they foot the bill.

I was thinking that too either a snag of clothing or part of a binbag he tried to dispose of??
