It may or may not be linked to the case.

Recent search efforts may have just highlighted the fact that it needed taking care of. Are you close enough to take pictures? If not, I can do it this weekend.
My battery was low yesterday, couldnt take a photo. It doesn't look like it was linked though, as you say just a clearing up of the area.
Am not near there today so if you would like to take some photos that would be great, it does make the area look different

I'll get on it ASAP.

There was quite a lot of discarded rubbish in the ditch when I was there during the week - I very cautiously opened a suitcase with my foot.

I just hope it has all been searched properly and no crucial evidence destroyed because of this.

I saw this online, and was concerned when I saw it was contractors clearing the area.

I was looking into the car at Newland Avenue and herd lots of people saying it was not a Vauxhall Astra. I have compared it with the police car that passes just before is the police car not a Vauxhall Astra because i thought it was. Can someone help with this question because both cars look like a vauxhall astra to me,

This below is taken from the Police Press Statement. From this does it sound that Libby was later seen and identified in this area? It is not 'close' to Beverley/Haworth is it and there is the time difference as well?

Libby Squire: New video released | Humberside Police

“Last month we released CCTV footage showing four people on Oak Road in Hull close to the junction with Clough Road around the time that Libby was last seen.

“I am releasing this footage again as these people have yet to come forward. We want to speak with them as they may be possible witnesses and might hold important information.

Im pretty sure resident car expert who really knows his stuff on here said it wasn't but will go back and read what he said.

Good spot!

The full statement says last known sighting was around Howarth Street/Beverley road just after midnight so it contradicts itself a little.

I don't read it as suggesting that Libby was seen in that area - they are just describing the location of the CCTV footage.

OTOH the wording is quite clear about the time, but I'm not going to read too much into that as it's not that specific. By "around the time", he may mean a window of a couple of hours.

In the full video, the first car that goes past, before the police car, is a corsa and I can’t help wonder whether that was the car @hitthenick discounted. There’s a gap with no cars and when the camera angle seems to change before other vehicles including the police car and second silver hatch pass. It would be good to know definitively if it’s the second car he said wasn’t an Astra.

Think he is away at the moment but I'm sure he will clarify when back.

Good thinking need to find this for sure. Because it does look similar to the police car. Which looks like a Astra

Still think it looks more Corsa like (just watched the video again and made sure to watch till the second silver car passed). But I know little about cars.

Anyway whatever car it is I'm sure LE have clearer footage of it and have identified exactly what car it is by now.

Yes me too. We've had advice from the expert and am sure he knows to look at both cars, the one before and after the police car. Again though, as with spidercam, the footage has been released for a reason.

Well the sun released it and they are not known for their excellent reporting so im not convinced it was released for any reason other than they wanted to create an headline personally but that's just my thoughts.

Good point - she was seen to fall, so could well have sustained cuts or grazes.
Would drunk stumbling cause cuts and grazes?

There is also the alleged comment from his sister in the Telegraph about 'pushing her away'. Although you can't set much store by MSM if correct it might explain blood?

I haven't even seen the footage you're talking about (Newland Ave?) so there you go.
