The mitigating circumstances were poor:
Previous good character-that just means he hadn’t been caught up until then. Nothing to suggest enrichment to wider community.

Guilty pleas:eek:nly in the face of undeniable dna evidence & at the last moment when court/lawyers etc had been scheduled for 2 weeks.

No signs of remorse.

Aggravating factors - bodily fluids left as calling cards;trespassing when victim sleeping;repeat targeting of victim;creating fear and alarm

Agreed. He didn't even just flash. He masturbated in front of two young women, and then actively followed them home and ejaculated on their front door. He just couldn't help himself.

Hi @MsMiniSleuth. Is there a way to check the authenticity in your info of the arrest date of 2nd February, which was Saturday, the day after LS disappearance? We've always been working on the assumption that he was arrested on Weds 5th February. If the earlier date is correct, this makes for some interesting rethinking of what was going on in those first few days.
Also a big thanks for your reporting. The scream mask sounds very sinister.
PR was arrested on the night of the 6th of february.

Exactly, shows a complete lack of logical thought or sexual control. Thinking with his dick, to put it bluntly.

Police statement
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Gadd said: “Throughout the investigation we reviewed a large number of offences, that individually had no correlation or evident link to have been committed by the same person, and identified the charged offences from our enquiries.

“Making a connection between them all was challenging, as there was no direct pattern of offending with varying time lapses between certain offences.

“However, we were able to comprehensively examine and collate information and put forward evidence to build a strong case against Relowicz and ensure he was brought before the courts.

“I would like to thank all those who have come forward and provided evidence as part of the case, as your cooperation and assistance has helped achieve this result.”

He obviously did not have an awareness of DNA if he left samples of his sperm at the different scenes.I

The crimes are horrific. The deviant sexual nature that runs through all of them is the thing. Its an appropriate punishment imo, however ,it is as Cherwell points out uncharacteristic of the system and practice imho.

Hence us all being somewhat shocked.

He must have done. He must have known. Everyone knows!
He had just gone beyond reasoning and logic because his dirty perverted deviances took over. Probs got thrills from living life close to the edge. An addiction, impulse. Thought he'd never be caught. What an idiot.

I've only just had chance to catch up since last night. When I read the first post about PR being sentenced to 8.5 years, I literally nearly burst into tears and shouted "yes!" Lol. Can't contain my emotion right now, what a brilliant judge. I'm elated. I know he'll appeal it but for now I'm just so glad that the judge could see exactly what he is. Fantastic outcome IMO! :D

Nice one, your honour!

Here's hoping that Humberside Police have been playing the long game and building their case with PR safely off the streets.

Reckon this is the house with the nice black and glass door that was being luminol’d just after Libby went missing? I’m sure that was before PR got arrested?

Thanks Jamjim for your updates :)
What Number was that , Cags?!! :p :D

Take off 6.5 months he has done in custody, plus a third off if he keeps his nose clean, he'll be out in around 5 years even without appeal.

Even 5 years is still better than the 1 or 2 years I was expecting!

I wonder whether his wife is standing by him, or if she had enough and has left with the children. His poor mum is going to be gutted.

Judge Jeremy (on another case from 2018) not sure why I can't un-indent it:

Man facing 'serious charges' claims his barrister told him he was Jesus. Asked by the clerk of the court to confirm if his name was as stated on the court list, he looked at a piece of paper in his hands and said: "I am the divine majesty, God's creator, also Jesus Christ."

"Thank you so much, please sit down," said Judge Jeremy Richardson QC.

The defendant sat, then began rising to his feet again, and the judge said: "Just take a seat if you would be so kind."

He then tried to make a witty comment as the judge addressed him, and the judge said: "Let's get one or two things sorted out. Firstly, this is a court and I happen to be the judge presiding over it."

The defendant laughed.

Judge Richardson said: "It's the normal procedure for me to take the lead and you to follow."

"You have your way," said the defendant.

"That's so kind of you," said the judge.
The man said his barrister "told me I was Jesus Christ, a man who died 2,000 years ago".
"Thank you very much for your observations," Judge Richardson said.
When the man again began to speak, the judge addressed him by his name on the court list, and said: "Mr [defendant], please, I haven't got a huge amount of time."
"It's rude to interrupt," the defendant said.

"Take him to the cells, I'm not having this," the judge said. "You will go to the cells and come back later in the day. The doctors take the view you are fit to plead. The case can come back on at the end of the day."
