It looks like what he's describing in his little fairytale version of events though.
Sorry I shouldn't laugh while commenting a tragic case but I couldn't help myself ha ha A fairytale version - you nailed it here!

One thing that I keep thinking is; if he reckons they had sex on the side of the road not actually in the park then when he returned later at 2am why did he go into the park to "look for her" if he left her at the roadside and saw her walk off then there would be no need to go in the park? He really has tripped himself right up taking the stand and coming up with now yet another version, completely different to all the other previous versions he's told!
Agree

He is completely contradicting himself too..Out all evening looking for sex but then felt guilty cheating on the wife, left libby by the road but then checked the park for her later (but says they didn't go in the park). If there is actual CCTV of them both entering the park and only him leaving the park, why would he now come up with this nonsense that can clearly be disproved?! Doesnt make sense. I'm struggling to figure out if he really is the worlds worst liar or the HDM reporting of the trial has missed out a few key bits of info? Perhaps a combo of both? o_O

I think the defense has their hands full with PR. I think they are doing their best to make sure he gets a fair trial. IMOO I think he may have the same attitude with them that he had with LE. Changing his story every time new evidence was provided. I am sure they counseled him about taking the stand and maybe even had a mock session where they presented how the prosecution would question him. I would not be surprised one bit if we hear several “no comments” when questioned by the prosecution. Not sure if “no comment” is allowed but I do not see PR caring. MOO

Where does it say he went into the park?

I've only found this from the police interviews, but maybe it's somewhere else? -

Relowicz returned to Oak Road over concerns for Libby
Relowicz said when he got home his wife was in bed on her phone feeding their son so did not mention anything about what had just happened.

He said he then had a bath and watched a “film on YouTube.”

Relowicz then said it was “around 11pm” he left his home because he felt “strangely” that he left Libby and “knew perfectly well there is a camera there [on Beverley Road] and she could have fallen over and I thought, ‘what if she falls over and freezes?’”

He said he put on the same clothes he was wearing earlier to go back out.

Relowicz insists he was telling the truth
In police interview he said: “I have told you what I know I’m not guilty of anything.

"What I have said is the truth. I don’t know anything more and don’t want to make anything up. I would like to help as much as I can but I don’t know.”

He said he went back out to see if Libby was “lying anywhere on the ground.”

Relowicz said he drove up Beresford Avenue to Oak Road and back again.

He said he was “looking for her footprints” in the snow.

He said: “I could see them in the snow."

Pawel Relowicz told police he 'wanted Libby to be found' - trial

I have actually wondered if the reason he went back out was to smear over their footprints in the snow, but that would take far too long. Maybe just the ones leading away from the car.

Not sure on that one ? If you were concerned about someone you left in a confused state you might check the first part of the park ...not that I'm saying he did

I actually can't remember so apologies if I'm wrong but I have a feeling it was in the prosecution opening statement? It may have mentioned that he was on cctv returning to the park? I'll try find it...

Surely the nearer he puts them being to the river the easier to believe she fell in?
Surely does alright, but also the further away the longer it would take him to get to the river and back is more what I was thinking JMO

Regards cctv I'm not convinced there is going to be anything else showing any movement or them themselves
If there was the defence would have mentioned it in opening...they mentioned that the prosecution "conveniently omitted" scream witnesses they did not think fit their version...I think defence would have said the same about cctv

I'm certain, on one piece of cctv, (red and green arrows above their heads) that he can be seen pulling on Libbys arm (both of their their arms are outstretched) as she is trying to cling on to a bus shelter - that hardly seems like her willingly going with him.

Do you have the link to this one Mrazda? Struggling to find it. I have seen some of the cctv images but dont recall this one.

Probably a few " can't remember " moments

It could have been. They also implied (or said?) Libby and PR could be seen arriving but I'm not sure what to think about that after his evidence today.

We are in the dark because most of the CCTV has not been released to the public, although the jury will have seen it.

Yes a lot is not adding up after today and there's been so much info it's difficult to remember every single detail. I think possibly his lying plus the missing details from the reporting is further confusing things!

I found this on thread #18 but I'm not sure know how to pull it across so i have copied and pasted (I have screenshot if that helps too). I think this must be where I had the idea that he definitely visited the park/fields on his final visit.

From @Niner 's summary of Day I evidence:

By 2:25am, he was caught on CCTV arriving back at Oak Road Playing Fields. He remained there for just over four minutes. After his third visit to Oak Road Playing Fields, Relowicz continued to cruise around the student area in Hull, eventually arriving in Newland Avenue at 2:38am. And that around six minutes later he drove to Alexandra Road & parked up: “CCTV cameras picked up the defendant walking across Newland Avenue. "The defendant appears to be standing with his knees bent. The prosecution suggested that what you are watching here [in the CCTV] is the defendant masturbating in the street.”

It's a bit unclear from this whether he went into the park or not.

Relowicz returned to Oak Road Playing Fields
The same CCTV footage that saw Relowicz return to his home in Raglan Street picked him up at 2.22am, Mr Wright said.

By 2.25am, he was caught on CCTV arriving back at Oak Road Playing Fields. He remained there for just over four minutes.

Mr Wright tells the jury: “What was it that caused him to make this return journey after two in the morning? We will invite you to conclude that it was inevitably linked to Libby and what he had done to her on those playing fields.”

and then....

The court heard that after his third visit to Oak Road Playing Fields, Relowicz continued to cruise around the student area in Hull, eventually arriving in Newland Avenue at 2.38am.
