I think I disagree with you there. As our fellow posters have shared from personal experience, his convicted offences could have a devastating and long term impact on the victims.

Not acknowledging the seriousness at the time (or now) shows a lack of awareness for others and will hopefully alienate the jury.

Self gratification all the way for this animal IMO.
Yes. It could be taken either way, I agree.

AC is pure evil! He jumped straight to rape and murder with no other similar offences.

God, he really is playing innocent isn’t he. I’m surprised his defence have let him deny rape. His sperm was found inside her and there’s mountains of evidence that states she was unable to consent due to alcohol and effects of the cold. I’d find it difficult to not start shaking my head if I was a member of the jury!

I think it's deliberate. I haven't noticed, but I'm guessing the prosecution refer to her as 'Libby'. I think the defence don't want the jury thinking of Libby as anything other than an anonymous character named 'Squire', whereas the prosecution of course want the jury picturing a young, harmless, vulnerable girl, not much more than a child, with a name, and a family and everything.
Cross purposes it was article posted that refers to her as squire not counsel.

Totally agree with you that it was used deliberately to de-personalise Libby. I hope the jury really hate how her surname has been used to refer to her.

I read this as the journo using Squire - not the defence. I think the journo was paraphrasing. It was not a direct quote certainly.

I'm not sure it's a quote from the trial, it reads to me like it's the reporter's style.

Relowicz explains what happened at Oak Road
Relowicz has been asked to tell the court what happened when the car stopped.

He said: “She started making sounds like she wanted to vomit which is why I stopped the car.

“Once I stopped she undid her seatbelt and ran off from the car. She went about two metres [towards Oak Road] and there she fell to the ground.

“I got out of the car and approached her and helped her to get up. She was making a sound as if she would be sick. I helped her by way of grabbing hold of both of her arms and she got up. She was facing me.

“I asked her whether everything was ok with her and she said ‘yes’ and started to apologise to me.

“Then we approached the car and stood next to it and I needed to go and have a wee.”

'I did not rape Libby. I did not kill her'
After describing how he could not get an address out of Libby, Relowicz told the court he drove to the top of Beresford Avenue to turn around at Oak Road.

Yet in interviews with his mother and sister they each say that he had told them that Libby asked to go home and that he put her address into his satnav. He has so many different stories doesnt he..

I am so sorry for your daughter. It is terrible and PR getting on the stand acting so nonchalant about his behavior is disgusting. Victims like you daughter live with this for the rest of their lives! One of PR’s victims had to leave school if I remember correctly.
He seems to be a psychopath aparat from sexual deviations. Psychopaths never feel any compunctions about their crimes. They are devoid of empathy.

I thought he was just turning the car round?
What's this about 'stopping the car'? and 'that's why I stopped the car'?

Maybe he's claiming he was intending to turn the car around, but then he stopped the car when he thought Libby needed to be sick. But turning around involves stopping the car anyway, so there's an odd contradiction here.

Relowicz says they had sex next to car then left Libby at Oak Road

Relowicz says Libby stayed by the car and was still there when he returned.

He said: “I asked her whether everything was okay and she said yes and asked me to hug her. We were hugging each other and started kissing each other.

“She was the one who brought forward her hands towards me, she wanted me to hug her. I grabbed hold of her bottom and she tried to undo the button on my trousers. She was trying to undo my zip and didn’t manage to.”

Relowicz says he was “excited” and then “she laid down, there was grass near to the car and we had sex.”

He added: “We had sex and then she started making the same sounds as if she wanted to vomit, that’s why I stopped. I pulled my trousers up, lifted her up and asked if everything was okay with her. She replied ‘yes’ and started to apologise to me.

“We stood in front of the car and then she wanted to kiss me. I didn’t want to because she had saliva.

“I turned away and she scratched me to my face. I just got into my car. I started the engine and just drove away. She was stood behind the cars and was shouting not to leave her and screaming.”

“I like watching 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and I like sex.”
Relowicz said he left because Libby scratched his face. He says he then drove home.

Relowicz has been asked what he was doing between 1.07am and 1.11am.

He says he was in the bath and watching 🤬🤬🤬🤬 online.

He said: “I like watching 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and I like sex.”

But he denied liking any violent 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

how weird. 'Don't leave me'. Why's he using the Sainsbury's man's testimony?

So now he heard screaming!

I feel sick too. It is still rape regardless, she was not capable of giving consent. Her poor parents having to listen to all these lies ☹️
