Also someone earlier asking about evidence. I remember the pictures released of PR from custody he had 1 or 2 marks on his face that could have been defence wounds caused by libby here's hoping they have some fingernail damage or scrapings to match up to those that prove she fought back. Also the screams heard by neighbours all of that should hopefully blow any defense out of the water and possibly more we are yet to hear about too.

Relowicz's car then heads for Oak Road playing fields
The jury is about to be shown CCTV which track the Astra’s journey from Haworth Street.

One shows Relowicz making his second journey of the night to Oak Road Playing Fields – this time with Libby. The car can be seen on CCTV footage arriving at around 12.11am.

Mr Wright says: “The defendant knew where he was going we suggest and certainly knew that this was a quiet dark place where he was unlikely to be disturbed.”

Walking along Haworth Street still turns my stomach.

For those unfamiliar with the area, the grounds of the Endsleigh Centre are large and hidden from the main road by a high wall. There's lots of trees and bushes. You can go some way inside via Streetview:

Google Maps
Where is it in relation to the bench?

Him stalking her must explain the bit of footage we didn't see - i.e. the original spider cam in the public domain showed him apparently returning from somewhere but not him arriving?

Earlier on didn't it say a woman had asked was she ok near to an Endsleigh road.

Poor kid had actually started.

How on Earth her parents can get thru this.

Car arrives at Oak Road close to River Hull
Instead of turning left from Beverley Road to Wellesley Avenue, where Libby lived, Mr Wright says Relowicz can be seen on CCTV footage driving down Oak Road to Oak Road Playing Fields.

The jury is now being shown a map and an aerial photograph of the playing fields. It is 354.9 metres from Oak Road to the River Hull across the playing fields.

Libby must have been so confused as to where he was going, and why it was away from her house :(

‘Both Libby and Relowicz left the car, but only he returned’
Mr Wright said: “What happened once the defendant had parked his car next to the Oak Road Playing Fields? There is no doubt that he and Libby got out of the vehicle and only the defendant returned to it.”

HDM being sloppy there - that's actually the entrance to a private house adjacent to Oak Road playing fields.

Thank you for the clarification @Vermont24! So handy having so much local knowledge on the thread :)

'Frantic screams heard from Oak Road playing fields'
The jury hears that a man living in a house close to the playing fields heard frantic and loud screaming soon after Relowicz and Libby arrived at Oak Road Playing Fields.

The man recalls that he woke up and looked at the screen of his phone, seeing the time was 12.14am.

He lay awake for what he thought was two or three minutes and then heard a series of screams.

Mr Wright said: “His bedroom window was open and the screams were coming from somewhere on the playing fields, but he thought that they were a good distance away from his house that he estimated to be at least 150 metres.

“They were distant screams but they were loud screams. He recalls them as frantic, they had urgency and they had depth. There were gaps between them and there were several of them.”

After the screams had stopped the man looked out of his window and says “a few minutes after the last scream” he saw a man, who he described in his 20s “emerging from the darkness” and “running off the playing fields, away from the river behind him and heading back toward Oak Road.”

Wasn't this the house that witnessed the park screams.

Didnt see above post

Are they saying he drove down Clough Road then turned left on to Oak Road? Rather than down Beverley Road and right onto Beresford?

I'm just wondering if Libby recognised P from a local gym/shop or something, since they lived quite close to each other? They may have been on nodding terms? That's why she trusted him enough to get in his car?

I was thinking the same ... he may have been a face she recognised, he was young, not unattractive (hasn't a huge injustice been done by always being warned about the old, unattractive, ugly etc being the villain) he was often in the area, she may also have seen him around with his wife and or children which would also add to his demeanour of being a 'safer' person than another student gang or older men in a car.

That wasn't clear to me either, but there isn't access right the way to the park if travelling along Oak Road via Clough Road in a car. There's several bollarded sections. Picking her up at around 12:03, followed by screams at around 12:14 doesn't fit that timeline.

'Libby's watch found where she had got into Relowicz's car'
Soon after Libby disappeared a member of the public found a gold digital watch on Haworth Street.

The watch - which had a damaged clasp - was recovered by police and was identified by Libby’s mother Lisa as hers.

Mr Wright said that “something had caused her to lose it at about the very point on Haworth Street that she had entered the defendant’s vehicle.”

The jury are being shown photographs of the watch.

Likely came off if he had hold of her and she pulled away ...

Left of the pic is Haworth st, right is the entrance to endsleigh centre, its just further up Beverly Rd in the direction of Wellesley Ave.
My understanding of the evidence so far is the woman saw her on her way past the EC the first time on way to the bench PR intercepted her on her way back past, almost retracing her steps towards home. I may be mistaken but that is my interpretation of how it has been told up to this point.

I can't imagine hearing and seeing this and not ringing the police! They must have felt awful when they found out what had happened :(

it has to be a mistake by Hull Live or something as it says the car drove down Oak Road which as you say isn’t possible

At the moment the timeline presented is quite short from arriving at the park entrance to the man running out of the park ...to head over towards the river ...attack , kill and put a person into the river ...unless he goes back
