Or the women who's private space he had invaded.

I wonder if PR said anything else besides just being scared. If Police came to my house and said I was under arrest I would be confused and ask what is was about. I guess I might be scared but my first thought would be why (because I know I did not do anything wrong to justify an arrest).

Interesting that he used a condom to masturbate but not for the rape... o_O

I'd imagine it's tricky to hold down and quieten a struggling, screaming victim, retain an erection AND open a condom and put it on ...

First police interview: 'I didn't abduct her'
Former Detective Constable, Claire Jackson, has been called to give evidence.

She will be reading part of Relowicz’s police interviews.

The court has heard Relowicz was arrested at 9pm and taken to Clough Road Police Station and interviewed just after 10pm on February 6.

Richard Woolfall, prosecuting, is taking the part of a Detective Constable and Claire Jackson is taking the part of Relowicz.

He was told: “The purpose of this interview is to ask you some urgent questions.

“I’m now showing you a picture of Libby Squire. Is she alive?”

Relowicz replied: “I don’t know how am I supposed to know?”

He was asked, “Where is she now?”

Relowicz replied: “I don’t know I didn’t abduct her.”

He was scared = victim playing IMO

wonder why they’re acting this bit rather than playing a tape?

I wonder what his wife said or how she reacted.

I may be looking into the wording too much but the police said the vehicle didn't leave his street again after his last visit to the park. they didn't mention if PR had left on foot.

The second police interview the next day: 'I want to do some running'
In the second police interview the following day, Relowicz was asked: “Are you responsible for kidnapping Libby Squire?”

He said: “No.”

Relowicz was told: “She has been reported missing and was last seen on February 1, 2019 on Haworth Street.”

Relowicz was shown on a map and said: “There’s a park there right?”

He added: “That’s the street where I parked Haworth I think. I always park there when I start running. I start on Beverley Road, Inglemire Avenue and run through the university buildings, into Newland Avenue and then I run back.

“Because I want to do some running to lose some weight.”

Wonder if he did his interview in polish with an interpreter present who has transcribed it, or in English?

Defence questions Det Cons Grandidge
Dale Brook, mitigating, has asked whether the officer checked CCTV to see if Relowicz’s car had left Raglan Street again between it returning home on February 1 and leaving again later that day, to which Detective Constable has replied: “Yes.”

Mr Brook says: “If we look at a clip we can see his vehicle heading down Raglan Street. It is right that we have a very clear CCTV at the entrance of Raglan Street and at no stage after 2.59am and before 2.35pm that day does his car leave Raglan Street and Raglan Street extension?”

DC Grandidge says: “We could not find any other CCTV of his car apart from that.”

A bit of truth sprinkled in maybe, “I want...to lose some weight”

Wonder if he did his interview in polish with an interpreter present who has transcribed it, or in English?

I'm certain it's been said that his English is good and the interpreter in court with him is just there to explain any technical or judicial points that he might not understand - not all English words have a Polish (or any other language) equivalent.

but don't forget that english isn't his first language he maybe couldn't find better words just said first thing which came to his mind

he apparently understand English and can speak English,I guess his English is similar to mine I would be able answer basic question, he could ask about interpreter but I wouldn't be surprise if he answer question in English without need anybody to translate it

I found this quite allusive.

Wonder what point defence was trying to make here

All I could think of is that the defence are going to claim someone else had access to the vehicle & used it between those times with some kind of proof in order to cast doubt that PR was the driver at the times of the offences. But that doesn’t make sense as he eventually admits to having Libby in his car.

'I need to go home'
“I did my first warm up. I sat a bit as it was minus two degrees. Did some stretching, got out of the car then went into the pavement and I saw such a lad in a baseball cap walking and talking on the phone and the girl was sitting and crying.

“Then that lad was talking on the phone and said ‘f****** b****’, those were the only words I understood. I crossed the road because I wanted to run.

“I walked past her and she said, ‘Hey man, stop please I need help’ and I said ‘What’s up’.

“She said, ‘I need to go home, I need my mother’ and she was crying. I didn’t know if she had taken something or someone had put something into her drink. She had shivers.

“I felt sorry for the girl. She was wearing a mini skirt and had a cut on her knee.

“She said, ‘I don’t know’ and she wanted her mum and didn’t know what was happening to her. I said I had a car and could take her to her address.

“She was walking but would nearly walk onto the road and she gave me her hand and then she let go because I had the car.”
