Relowicz insists he was telling the truth
In police interview he said: “I have told you what I know I’m not guilty of anything.

"What I have said is the truth. I don’t know anything more and don’t want to make anything up. I would like to help as much as I can but I don’t know.”

He said he went back out to see if Libby was “lying anywhere on the ground.”

Relowicz said he drove up Beresford Avenue to Oak Road and back again.

He said he was “looking for her footprints” in the snow.

He said: “I could see them in the snow."

I'm sat thinking about the bench in the park now. Can anyone remember if we heard anything about evidence being found there? Even if his dna was found at or on the bench it could have been from his previous visit. Maybe Libby was taken to an area nearer the river and raped, therefore making the timings more realistic in terms of rape, murder and disposal of the body

We’ve not; it’ll be interesting to hear what may have provoked the sudden appearance of SOCOs in the dark!

Sit down and count 7.5min... it is longer than you think, I doubt the rape took long and I would say he killed/ incapacitated her during it. Then quickly dragged her in to the river

Yes

Unfortunately if you read about these kind of cases, a noob offender usually loses control and kills the victim in the first moments - indeed often before rape occurs - rape is often post mortem

One should not assume the rape takes a long time - it may have happened after he killed her during the process of subduing.

I can run 2km in that time! At my age!

Relowicz worried about 'group or Romanians'
In Interview Relowicz said he was worried about a near by group of what he described as 'Romanians'.

He said: “There were Romanians in the [Renault] Scenic. She was maybe half a metre away from their car.

“I think if I hadn’t have been there they would have taken her for sure, they were knocking at her. I kept looking at what they were doing.”

Relowicz said he was waiting “around five minutes” before the other car drove away.

He said: “I wanted to help her but not to do anything more than necessary. I suspect if they were longer I would have driven away, I wouldn’t have given a s*** about it.

“It seems to me more that if they had taken her then they would have...It is more likely they would have done something bad to her they were laughing showing they were so happy in that car.”

I thought he waited for the Renault to leave before putting Libby in his car. I believe I read the driver was traced so wonder if he has given evidence.

Yes, he is framing it as “I was watching to make sure the leering Romanians weren’t going to hurt her” having also claimed he was warming the car up for her. He was undoubtedly waiting to make sure the coast was clear rather than anything protective

If you mean the enhanced video, I think it looks like there was. Or a lot of coaxing to get Libby to the car.

Yes it was the enhanced video I was referring to. That did not look to me like someone willing to go to the car

Yep

You can see all the alibi setting going on - stupid stuff.

We must not forget the additional 4 minutes on visit 3. Im finding it hard to get an idea of distance having not been to the park but 7.5 mins alone seems a fair chunk of time to me

When PR walked across the road, past Libby and into Beresford Ave, I wonder if he was possible off to get up to his old tricks when he realised the opportunity which had presented itself. It doesnt account for why he visited the park earlier in the evening though

I have always found the first visit odd

Yes, that thought occured to me. He disappears down Beresford Avenue for a minute or more, I don't think he was hiding from Libby ( as was suggested in Court ). I think he had other plans but then realised his best option was to go back to Libby.
Timings are so close in this case - if Libby had stayed in the Endsleigh Centre for a few minutes, then PR would not have seen her when he came back to Beverley Road - and he might have thought she had gone home.

It’s frightening the amount of ‘what if’s’ we have in this case. But I’m pretty sure if it hadn’t been Libby, we would be here discussing someone else sooner or later.

Relowicz claims facial injury was due to playing with his son
Relowicz was questioned by police about a cut near his right eye, which he said was caused when he was playing with his son.

He said: “I don’t know, did he scratch me? I don’t know I went to the bathroom and I had a red mark.”

Relowicz said it had happened the weekend before.

He was then questioned about a mark on his nose.

He said: “I always have marks, all the time I have spots somewhere.”

I just dont buy this. Baby's scratch yes thats why we buy scratch mits etc but the kind of scratches I've had from babies would be the type to disappear quickly in that they are not deep
