I need a little more information yet ..I find someone getting away and stumbling into water in such a state is as easily logical..especially in 7.5 mins ...i wish I didn't...I wish there wasn't another possibility that isn't bizarre or too far fetched

I mentioned in here early on when she was first discovered that I had a feeling she ran to get away and went into the water herself. But i was told it was difficult to do that as it was overgrown

There is a clear slope up to the Riverside..thebike ride video on here shows the rider going that way

Anyone know when the park was searched? I can only find articles that say the pond was searched 2nd Feb.

Relowicz worried about 'group or Romanians'
In Interview Relowicz said he was worried about a near by group of what he described as 'Romanians'.

He said: “There were Romanians in the [Renault] Scenic. She was maybe half a metre away from their car.

“I think if I hadn’t have been there they would have taken her for sure, they were knocking at her. I kept looking at what they were doing.”

Relowicz said he was waiting “around five minutes” before the other car drove away.

He said: “I wanted to help her but not to do anything more than necessary. I suspect if they were longer I would have driven away, I wouldn’t have given a s*** about it.

“It seems to me more that if they had taken her then they would have...It is more likely they would have done something bad to her they were laughing showing they were so happy in that car.”

BBM They were knocking at her? Is that a typo? Looking instead of knocking?

Relowicz insists he was telling the truth
In police interview he said: “I have told you what I know I’m not guilty of anything.

"What I have said is the truth. I don’t know anything more and don’t want to make anything up. I would like to help as much as I can but I don’t know.”

He said he went back out to see if Libby was “lying anywhere on the ground.”

Relowicz said he drove up Beresford Avenue to Oak Road and back again.

He said he was “looking for her footprints” in the snow.

He said: “I could see them in the snow."

BBM. I bet he was. I think this is true. He went to see where she went

Relowicz never told anyone about meeting Libby
Relowicz was asked if he told friends or anyone else about the incident and he said, “No.”

He said: “We don’t speak about such things we talk about football.”

Relowicz said: “I just have them and play football. I just go to work and don’t really have mates there I have a family and kids so don’t have time.”

BBM He doesn't have time because he is busy in the streets evenings and nights.

Steps are from the embankment down into the river - for the purpose of launching small boats.

CCTV shows Pawel Relowicz 'stalking' Libby Squire in Beverley Road

From about 4mins onwards in this video (2.34am on cctv) what do we think PR is doing with his hands? He’s sat in the front seat of the car with legs on pavement, his hands are in his lap and it looks like they’re ‘fiddling’ with something.

yes we discussed this at length at the time. It was a combination of answers from 'nothing' to rolling a ciggie or joint to masturbating. Knowing now his form I'd vote for number three.

Plus unless they were very close to the river when the rape occurred, he would have to carry/drag Libby to the river bank, which would undoubtedly slow him down.
I wonder if they can tell from the cctv of them walking on the main road how fast Libby's pace was. You need to account for that in the timings of getting into the park and to the river.

The river really isn't that close to where he entered the park and even with the steps it isn't particularly accessible.

Even if you knew the area well, had flown your drone over and pre-planned your attack, I don't think it is feasible to get a person into the park, rape them, drag them to the river and get back to your car all in the dark, with an unwilling or unresponsive body in 7.5 mins.

It would have also been slippery and difficult to transverse. Similarly, I don't think he could have done it on his return to the park later that evening. Please don't think I am defending him as I believe his actions led to her death but I simply can't see the timeframes adding up.

steps and ice are notorious - are you saying the steps lead into the river?

After initially thinking that Libby dying was not wholly premeditated, I'm beginning to think otherwise.

If he was just wanting to rape someone, to rape Libby as she's his target - he could easily have JUST raped her. She was already intoxicated & disoriented, he didn't even have to drug her himself - he could have raped her in the Endsleigh place, he could absolutely have raped her in his car then shoved her out anywhere and the liklihood is that she would've gone home eventually and potentially not even remembered being raped or reported it if she did realise - the vast majority of women who are raped whilst drunk don't report it because they will not be believed. We know this. Many of his previous victims didn't report the crimes.

Park visit 1 - familiarise with the plan route in the darkness - THOUGH less dark than usual as the covering of snow always illuminates to some extent. At this point, Libby isn't his target, any drunk and or lone female is the intended target.

Park visit 2 - to rape, kill and dispose of body.

Park visit 3 - to check Libbys body had been taken by the tidal flow or to put her in the water at high tidal flow - he'd be aware of the tidal flows as a fisherman.

Drone flying over Park- to check the body hadn't been caught up and was visible.

He didn't care that Libby saw his face, she wouldn't be telling anyone. He didn't care that his DNA was inside her - she was going in the water and wouldn't be found for a long time.

I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't his first rape.

Regarding the 7.5 minutes posts above and accepting he could rape and kill simultaneously in say 2 mins ...the distance from the river to his car has to be accounted for ...for an average fit male ...2.5 minutes running 4 mins walking .

Also regards the 4 mins on 3rd visit...it take average 5 mins to run there and back

Just copying this over from earlier trial testimony.

Mr Wright said: “It was some time after they stopped that the defendant emerged from the darkness. At an average walking speed it might take just less than four minutes to cover all of the distance from the defendant’s car to the water.

At a run – and we know that the defendant was running – no more than about a minute and a half or two minutes at most.”

Distance, car to river, has been estimated at 350 metres.
Screams estimated to be about 150 metres away from park entrance ( possibly more )
That leaves 200 metres ( maybe less ) distance from screams area to river. Running, carrying Libby over his shoulder.
Average running time, for fit healthy male ( which he was back then ) 350 metres can be covered in 60 - 70 seconds. Add to that his heightened state, adrenaline rush, I think it is very possible to accomplish within the given time line.

Feel like asking my husband to chuck me over his shoulders and run 350 metres.

But if you've plotted and fantasied about where the rape will take place you are going to aim for that place.

I agree @Alyce . There has been a recent conviction of a pedophile who managed to rape a young girl who was only missing from her parents for 8 minutes.

only the last part would be running - so you can reduce the time for him :D
