Ok
As a retired SIO I have done the correct thing and made contact with the Force major incident team and informed them that the Preston Crown Court listings are still showing the defendants name
It shouldn’t be on there which has just been confirmed to me and endeavours will be made to take it off the website as per judges rulings on identification and law in relation to juvenile identification . Me thinks that heads will roll !
I was shocked to see it there given their own warnings about releasing his name. What a mess.

Yes I agree but it’s the crown court administrator who will be responsible for this

So I learnt in Libby case the police can hold you 96 hours before charge , how long was this lad held before charge made ? Are the timings different because of age ?

If you can have 96 hours to questions wouldn’t the police use it to get as much questioning done as possible ?

Or is it they are 100 % positive they didn’t need extra hours ?
It doesn’t matter that he’s a juvenile
96 hours applies to all defendants
You don’t automatically get allocated the full 96 hours
You have to go through reviews up to 24 hours by the duty senior officer ( usually Superintendent or above) and then you apply to the magistrate for continued extensions that can go up to a max or 96 hours but if the magistrate thinks that the enquires you still have to do to secure evidence in preparation for charge will only take up to 90 hours then t they can say that is all that they are willing to allow

Back to her mobile being missing and switched off . MOO perhaps she did know her killer ( not necessarily the boy charged ) and I’m sure LE have investigated this.........she has switched her phone off because the person she was possibly going to meet up with was hassling her because of a disagreement of some kind. When the meeting has happened and things turned in to this sad situation the perp has taken the phone in the hope all evidence would be lost ?

The phone wasn't turned off battery died and last pinged at LB home address

Kudos to all Websleuths members who could have posted the boy's name here and didn't. Way to go!

Really? I read that it was specifically turned off. So if that’s the case maybe she didn’t have her phone with her because it was about to run out of charge

We'll have to wait until 13 December when he enters his plea.

Would there still be a trial if a plea of guilty on 13 dec

Well I’m still none the wiser to his name....it’s not that relevant to me or should be to anyone else . He is off the streets and going to be given a fair trial and if found guilty be punished suitably.....none of this is any comfort to Lindsay’s family et al.....

True. But the court itself released his name. By law, they should not have done that - especially after threatening jail to anyone who did. Major faux pas.

Well done mate, I admire you for doing this.

They had him a good 90 hours didn't they? Before charging.

Hello all, I am within a mile of the LB case and it is completely baffling the whole community.

From what I believe LB phone died whilst out shopping with her daughter for the afternoon. If this is the case what I dont understand is how did it last ping at her house? This implies she likely put it on charge and it was turned back... but as her daughter confirmed she took her phone with her... so how come there is no further pings from it when she was out?

Also, her ex husband has been portayed as her current husband in all media/news reports.

Yesterday, a very similar murder case hearing was held at Preston crown court. This involved an under age minor (17 years old) and it does indeed have the name obsecured. So looks like this one slipped the net.

Separately the name is also disclosed here:
Preston / 03-09-2019

Ms birbeck I have seen several times - 16-year-old boy charged with murdering teaching assistant

Household and commercial are separate. If the pub is not open for business it’s unlikely they’ll have a collection.
Good thinking
