I think it will be slow starting regards to info, we have jury to be sworn in ect, details will filter out throughout except his name, that won’t be released until after sentencing, if the judge allows.

I am wondering if there may be a change of plea.

As Spursgal says, it will be Jury selection today - the listing said no witnesses. So I would expect Prosecution to begin tomorrow.
Not sure how much reporting we will get, with it being a juvenile but Jamjim's link looks good, I expect they will provide as much information as they can.

It’s open court, which surprised me slightly.

Latest from court
We are here at Preston Crown Court this morning for the start of the trial.

The court is currently sitting in ‘chambers’ which means only the Judge and members of the prosecution and defence are permitted to enter.

Members of the public and press are currently outside the court room.

What will happen today?
Before the trial can begin, a jury panel must be sworn in.

This will involve the court selecting a large enough jury panel before 12 people are randomly chosen.

Once the jury is selected the Judge will then give her introductory remarks.

Prosecutor David McLaghlan QC will then outline the prosecution case.

Amanda Yip sounded familiar. After googling she was the judge in the Louise Porton trial.

Thanks Legally, I was wondering where I'd heard her name
