Indeed. And if it was a man he didn't know (quote from statement: "I have not met this man before. I have not met him since nor have I had any contact with him") then how did he happen to know where the defendant lived? If he was some kind of 'mysterious stalker', unless we are talking in the realms of demons and fantasy, then why is there no CCTV footage of the hooded man making his way to or from the defendants home (outhouse) at any stage?

How else could the plastic bags/sheeting in the defendants outhouse be explained away if it was indeed all the fault of the hooded man?

There's one big mass grave sized hole in the solicitor's fable right there.

Could the defendant not have took the bags when her returned to the body hours later ? In his rucksack

it seemed to happen very quickly,but if he's sticking to his story then we won't ever find out the details of what happened to her unfortunately

I struggled with this detail too because
A) He had to have gone back to move her (so knew where she was to find her then)
B) He said the man told him he would leave the money in the same place once it was all over. (I dont believe this could have been the arrangement for any money hand over) So he would have to have known where to go back to to leave the money.

I wonder if they didnt take him back there because it was deemed risky for some reason but i would assume that the obvious answer?

I know this was referring to the initial court appearance last year. But does anyone know if a member of the public can attend the current trial? I believe it's at the Crown Court in Preston.

I'm mainly interested in the forensic, pathology side of things. But out of curiosity I'm also interested in seeing the defence solicitor (lawyer) as that story about the Mysteriously Vanishing Hooded Man is something else.

Anybody can attend as it’s a public trial unless the judge decrees otherwise which hardly ever happens.

I wasn’t aware that this was at trial already
Can I ask when it started ? Was it Monday 24th? I’m wondering because I live just over an hour drive away and as a retired senior investigating officer, it would be good for me to go as I understand the process
The only issue Is firstly how much of the trial that I have already missed and I cannot go until tomorrow at the earliest but even then it’s not certain as I am somewhat incapacitated atm so rely on others to assist

It started on the 25th of Feb. 26th was the first day of evidence. Alot came out then. If u look in the local paper. Lancashire telegraph and lancs live it gives u a full run through as to what happened throughout the day. Goes into a lot of details. Today it starts at 10:30am so this is 2nd day of evidence. I'd love to go myself out of curiosity but I don't drive so couldn't get there.

Obviously this is all moo and not facts but it's definitely something that's on locals minds since Lindsay went missing. If he didn't do it then there's another murderer out there. Unless this was a targeted attack to just get Lindsay.

Yup. It's definitely opening a can of worms. I do just hope that justice is served and the truth is told. To think all that info come out on the first day makes me think there is a heck of a lot more information to come out yet...going to following what's said today in the papers.

It shows the defendant emerging from brambles and then walk along towards vegetation on Newhouse Road.
