This poll is very encouraging for me. I really believe the evidence in the court room will sound a lot more compelling than it does to us. Zoe in the stand for instance , just reading the text wasn't really hard hitting. But I believe it would be in the court room, as with all the other evidence.

I’m undecided. I think it’s either the Defendant or a family member.

I’m in the minority then!

I am still torn between someone having helped/him having helped someone else, as i still find it difficult to believe he managed all this on his own.
(Her size & weight v His size and weight v the size of the bin v the terrain he had to manouvre across & also how unco-operating a lifeless person is etc)

But with lack of evidence suggesting any 3rd party was involved anywhere has swayed me to dismiss all the above & went with "The Defendant" Guilty

I think ZB's evidence is quite strong, since she was in the area at the correct time, managed to get within 10 foot of this guy was being hunted by him almost (had a lucky escape it seems)
and she saw no one else matching the description of the hooded man (apart from the defendant who matches that description perfectly)
I think if there had been anyone else around, she might not have felt as vulnerable as she did.

Based on the current figures and working out how many seats each group would have on a Jury of 12 people, my rough calculation, rounding the figures slightly just to make it easier;

Defendant guilty 13 votes = 71.5% = 8.5 seats round to 8
Family or close to defendant guilty 4 votes = 22% = 2.65 seats round to 3
Defendant and family member or close 1 vote = 5.5% = 1/2 round to 1

So, as it stands, there would need to be some persuasion to get at least 2 more Jurors to go for guilty, otherwise a hung jury.

Isn't 'Defendant and Family Member or Close Known Associate' still a guilty vote? Giving 9-3 and one more needed for a majority verdict.

Ah ha, good point.

Plus, if I had rounded it with the 8.5 going up to 9 and the 2.65 going down to 2 - then we have the 10-2 majority.

I also think the defendant killed her but that is different to being able to state guilty if on a jury

Possibly, but his learning difficulty is moderate apparently, and I also believe he knows right from wrong but still can’t shake off that someone else has been involved somewhere along the line, whether that is the murder, assisting the defendant with hiding the body or something along those lines.
