I did see on the fb group which seemed to be working with LE in terms of coordinating searches, that their group searches were stood down. They said at the request of LE. From Saturday I believe.

As I understand it, unless posted by a verified insider, information on the case obtained from people a poster might know personally is still considered rumors.

Searches weren’t called off but they stopped being organised on a large scale like the one on Tuesday night. On the Wednesday the police agreed to meet with the public group and give a press conference of sort here is link to the local paper’s minutes (below). You will see the cemetery had been searched and also that the detective said he was ‘taking stock’ I think following this they decided to stop encouraging these large scale searches and draw out the killer.

Yes unfortunately that group has all its info on Facebook so I’ve not screenshot it but they were working alongside LE and taking advice from them

So are thoughts going towards her being involved in being cut by a lawn mower?

I saw comments that the grass had recently been cut. People are wondering if maybe it was an employee. All just speculation, of course. Like above poster said, could just be checking there is nothing anywhere else but isn’t it weird to have forensics there with them?

Who is the admin of this particular Facebook?

Another question on my mind - If they have not yet carried out a post mortem, how do they know it's murder?

I guess some things are just obvious to the coroner when they arrive on scene before the body is moved.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed>

Just a thought but I wonder if the police are looking for the person who cut the grass to see if they saw anything suspicious. It’s probably the most likely reason!

Ok, sorry!

I would absolutely want to know who last cut the grass and when. I'd definitely want to question them about the timeline and their observations at that time. Same goes for gravediggers and anyone else commonly on the grounds.

Unfortunately, people you know who have seen things are not allowed either unless they go through the process of becoming verified insiders here. Then they can come and post what they know. You can become a verified insider and post what you know. And so forth.

As for searches being called off, I haven't seen that anywhere so can't formulate a coherent response to your question.

Become a verified insider BarkingRosebud!

Then you can post everything you see there and people can't complain!

"At this stage we do not know how Lindsay’s body came to be in the cemetery, or how long it has been there so I would also like to speak to anyone who has seen anything suspicious in or around the cemetery area after August 12th or anyone who has any drone footage or dashcam footage which could assist."

Updates: Police believe they have found body of Lindsay Birbeck

OK, so basically LE has the same questions we do. How did Lindsay's body get to the cemetery and how long has it been there?

Anyone have a pet theory they'd like to share?

<modsnip>

If true, the searching of more than one location, especially another cemetery, feels sinister and indicative of murder. It’ll be shocking if those searches in the cemetery took place & Lindsay has been there all this time.

No scenario bares thinking about, but is it possible Lindsay went off to see her mum and take her own life? And instead of doing so in a possibly busy cemetery next to her mum, chose a more secluded spot and (hate to say it!) was ‘damaged’ by a lawn mower ?

Keeping an open mind. Wondering how long Lindsay was previously married for and wether or not that was a recent separation?

Thoughts with Lindsay’s family and children tonight x

I agree it will be shocking if it turns out that Lindsay has been in the cemetery all this time. So where else can she have been the last two weeks?
