I do not think the parents had any choice about handing him in after the pictures of him with the bin were made public.By taking him in, it gave others at the traveller site time to' tidy up 'before the police search teams arrived.

I'm not completely convinced his parents had to hand him in .. they could easily have tried to make him disappear within his community imo
His teacher said he was always well looked after by his family, his mom was always very worried about how he would cope in the outside world with his difficulties.. he only attended special assistance school 3 afternoons a week ...his mom was desperate to get him into a type of agricultural college

How strange you are suggesting this?
His parents did the right thing and may well have believed the hooded stranger story at the beginning.

IMO I don’t think it is strange, I think it would be easy to make someone disappear in the traveller community. Only reading posts on here- but it sounds like his parents have tried there best to raise a child with additional needs- accessing specialist education (many travellers children choose not to send them to school and use council provided tutors instead). The school would certainly have proactively supported the parents to report him to the police.

I see on fb his parents pleading for his innocence, even wearing t shirts saying murderer still at large.

'free our rocky' seriously, they believed it all. must also mean that there was no family involvement at all.....never helped clear up etc etc if they truly believe he's innocent

The official line has always been that they don't know exactly where LB died - or where she was hidden before being moved to the cemetery

It kind of infuriates me because R has just said "no comment" to everything... But if you think about it, if his story had any credibility and he really did just move the body, he could have at least said "I found her here, then I moved her there". Maybe point it out on a map or something. But nope, at least as far as I'm aware, he's never even told LE where he found her- to me this is super suspicious and the only way I can justify it in my mind is that he knew if he told LE where he found/was originally shown the body before moving her, he'd know they'd find more evidence to use against him. Surely if he really had only moved the body, it wouldn't hurt to tell them where she was before moved. It could have even helped them find DNA from the "stranger" he claims killed her. o_O

I went one day to the first trail (didn’t go in as the public gallery was full) his mum at the time was in the next courtroom in another murder trail something to do with her dad. After researching tonight it was his grandad who was murdered in Haslingden last year. How awful must it of been for her going through all this.

In my experience with him he would have done EXACTLY as he was told.

If he was told not to say where then he wouldn't. Which is why I so firmly believe he wasnt alone. He couldn't have orchestrated all of that by himself. As I said before though. I'm never saying never.. stranger things happen. But I am certain he would tell the truth or say what he had been told. I don't think he could make a big story up. Hence his lack of detail.

But what if LE told him that he had to tell them where he found her otherwise he'd probably end up in jail for her murder and the real murderer might hurt someone else? Would he tell them then? (Not trying to be argumentative btw, just genuinely curious!)
