Well for me that fact Rocky or his parents showed no emotion or reaction when the guilty verdict was read out says it all . From my experience of travellers over the year they are not known for being shrinking violets and are very out spoken ....yeah that may be tarring their community with the same brush ( my neighbours are from the community and they say it as it is along with their visitors). They knew that verdict was coming....if they thought or knew he hadn’t done it they would have made it known there and then , just my opinion.

But what if LE told him that he had to tell them where he found her otherwise he'd probably end up in jail for her murder and the real murderer might hurt someone else? Would he tell them then? (Not trying to be argumentative btw, just genuinely curious!)

No, I dont believe he would. I dont think the capacity for forward thinking or repercussion would be there. I genuinely believe that there was someone else and he knew that someone and trusted them.

Sorry! My internet is playing up...

I'm led to believe that his parents were supported by a professional during the case. Due to a language barrier I think? Possibly due to not understanding legal language though.

He himself wouldn't have the emotional maturity to understand that magnitude of what's going on. IMO

It says in the telegraph his parents wept outside the courtroom

I went one day to the first trail (didn’t go in as the public gallery was full) his mum at the time was in the next courtroom in another murder trail something to do with her dad. After researching tonight it was his grandad who was murdered in Haslingden last year. How awful must it of been for her going through all this.

Do you have a name? I think the Grandad he was named after died in Huncoat in 2011 too :(

His mum.was heartbroken outside court. Rocky doesn't understand emotions so he wouldn't know what was actually happening properly. Have a read up in some of the papers. There seems to be alot we don't kmow

I'm not completely convinced his parents had to hand him in .. they could easily have made him disappear within his community imo
His teacher said he was always well looked after by his family, his mom was always very worried about how he would cope in the outside world with his difficulties.. he only attended special assistance school 3 afternoons a week ...his mom was desperate to get him into a type of agricultural college
How strange you are suggesting this?
His parents did the right thing and may well have believed the hooded stranger story at the beginning.

I've not suggested it ...just the opposite I was replying to a comment that suggested they had no choice to hand him in ...if you read my previous comments I stated I felt the parents did the right thing

I know that you have said you know him and this is what you genuinely believe, but his defense had no problems with him being deemed fit to plead and stand trial. Surely if his parents thought he was unable to grasp what's going on they would have asked his defense to do something about that.

Therefore he must have an understanding of the gravity of it all. Usually if there are doubts that a person is fit to stand trial the defense will ask the judge and ask for reports to determine whether this is the case.

For example I just came accross this upcoming case earlier today. YouTuber faces December trial over Tommy Robinson comments | Daily Mail Online - I'm not commenting on that case, I'm just using it to show that where there are doubts as to the defendants fitness to stand trial, reports are usually asked for.

But how do you know he can’t understand emotions and wouldn’t know what was happening? He certainly seemed methodical and in control during the days after her death when he was concealing and burying the body.

Can the people telling us all they will be destroyed as a family and that we need to remember they handed their son in be made aware that Creddy Prices’ Facebook has now got a top post of 20+ tagged people From their community offering fights to anyone who wants one.

Maybe my emotions have the better of me but anyone who knows for a FACT their son at the very least carried a woman in a wheelie bin naked and then tried to saw her up before burying her in a cemetery leaving her family In agony for 12 days - personally id leave it a couple of days before wearing a t shirt like that for public show if it was my son.
