The police have also used the word "maimed" to decribe his "significant injury". "Maimed", by definition, is a wound that is permanent or disfiguring. When I zoom in the shape of the wound looks like a splash (from the alkaline liquid), not grazing from his fall, nor a black eye
If he hasn't got a phone, or a London A - Z map book, then following the river is probably the easiest way for him to navigate. Why is/was he following the river?
Another day, another bridge (that we hear of)![]()
Also very easy for the police to trace his journey on cctv,so why are they fobbing off the public by pretending they do not know where his actual last sighting was. At what point did he leave the route along the river, did he take public transport again or get in a car?If he hasn't got a phone, or a London A - Z map book, then following the river is probably the easiest way for him to navigate.
I can’t see any harm in giving more info about his route even if it is going backwards. I guess they are searching through footage from numerous cameras and his movements will not necessarily be established in a particular order.Police approach to the CCTV seems very odd. As I understand it the Westminster Bridge footage is prior in time to the Vauxhall Bridge footage, but was released later. Nobody seems to be asking them why. Does that imply that they don't have a continuous sequence?
No doubt there is some value in plotting his prior route (did he drop things, etc) but one would have thought the focus should be on where he went from the last sighting, not where he was before then.
It's now taken them a week to track him for 3 1/2 hours.
Perhaps - but (1) a common police complaint in this sort of case is being inundated by sightings. Is it helpful to have a bunch of people saying they saw him on Westminster Bridge, when they already know where he went next? (2) isn't there a danger of confusing public focus - what you really want is surely to highlight the last place he was seen - ie you want all the headlines to be about Vauxhall Bridge not Westminster?I can’t see any harm in giving more info about his route even if it is going backwards. I guess they are searching through footage from numerous cameras and his movements will not necessarily be established in a particular order.
I agree that at some stage a definitive last sighting will be needed. Maybe he has evaded cameras at a crucial moment?
Crossing water is something fugitives do to throw off trackers and dogs. I don't think going over a bridge is going to do that though! Why is/was he following the river?

I think he’s just wandering without a plan but figuring out what to do next without a phone and is maybe trying to look for somewhere to bed down for the night. He might have tried to do that in Battersea Park but it would have been closed hence he turned round and headed back over the bridge to follow the River (and, maybe as and assimilated Northerner, prefers to stick to the north side of the river !)Any guesses for tomorrow's location?
