Oh Lord. Impact statements. How awful for her loved ones today

Just seen the final CCTV photo of them on devonlive page and was struck by how much bigger than her he was. He looked quite small in the other photos but definitely towers over her in the CCTV pic.

Lorraine Cox: Azam Mangori sentenced for murder

Elise Fallow
Ms Fallow was the partner of Lorraine Cox. She will read a personal statement to the court.

Ms Fallow
"Nothing will stop the pain the love of my life is not by my side."
"Every day I think about things that will never happen again. We'll never kiss and cuddle and hold hands. We'll never explore the countryside together."

She says the pair planned to have a family together with Lorraine carrying the child.

"I'll never see her smile or hear her infectious laugh. I'll never feel her warmth."

The trial was told Lorraine lived with Ms Fallow in Scotland before returning to Exeter shortly before her murder.
"My heart is broken. never to be repaired." - Ms Fallow.

She describes Lorraine as a 'happy, smiling, beautiful woman'.

Can't see anything about deportation, is he allowed to stay here afterwards?
Regarding deportation, all I can find in this regard is this comment from Devon Live News'...

The Home Office said after the case that "foreign nationals who abuse our hospitality by committing heinous crimes should be in no doubt of our determination to deport them".

A spokesperson said its "priority will always be to keep the British public safe" and reforms of the asylum system would "make it easier to return failed asylum seekers who have no right to remain in the UK".

Thanks!
Am a bit surprised Priti is not using his case as an example for her reforms JMO.
This case had so little coverage imo, very sad lives are not equal. She was also just walking home.. MOO

I remember the very first article I read about this case weeks ago, they were trying to discredit this lady by saying she liked to take drugs and sleeping with men, even whilst in a relationship with a woman. This is the first time I'm seeing these details and the CCTV and I feel sick. The CCTV he looks like he's holding onto her, trying to force her to stay with him, and at one point trying to hold her up because she's drunk. Even if she accidentally died and he panicked, that wouldn't excuse the fact he stalked her and took advantage of her when she was quite clearly vulnerable.

My thoughts were similar to earlier posts; I heard about this weeks ago and then very little again until today. For how horrific the crime I am so surprised there's not been more media attention.

The father of a woman who was murdered after being followed through city centre streets has said "it must never ever happen again".

Lorraine Cox was walking home in Exeter when she was targeted by Azam Mangori, who steered her back to his flat before killing her.

Tony Cox now wants there to be a fully-staffed CCTV control room in the city.

It would form part of a range of measures he hopes will mean "there will never be another Lorraine".
