So are the prosecution alleging he violated her with the stick that was mentioned?

I see the defence has denied he did that but I didn't see the prosecution allege it?

I remember reading it in the updates yesterday. Portsmouth, I think. They may have removed it because it was too graphic?

Investigators found 11 sticks around Louise's body, placed around her as fuel to the fire which had been set on her body.

One of them had DNA on it with 'possible contributors' identified as Louise Smith, Shane Mays and CJ Mays.

The likelihood of Shane Mays having been a contributor was considered 38 million times more likely than not and the likelihood of his wife having been a contributor was said to be 150 times more likely than not.

Mr Newton-Price told the jury: we are not suggesting and I do not think it will be suggested that Chazlynn Mays touched that stick. That DNA could have transferred to it by way of her husband Shane.

Louise's boyfriend Bradley is giving evidence at the witness stand.

Prosecutor Mr Newton-Price QC said:

Louise was worried Bradley would leave her and he had to reassure her he wouldn’t.

She never walked alone because she was afraid of bumping into her ex

Louise 'wished' Shane and CJ were her parents
The court is being shown evidence of a message conversation between Louise and her auntie, CJ Mays (the defendent's wife).

At 11.36pm on April 26, Lousie sent this message to CJ

"I know you only get one mum but mine is sat next door to me.

"I wish you and Shane would be my parents, maybe I wouldn't be the way I would be

"I hate the fact I am so childish, but that's becasue I've never been a child"

CJ said louise could call them her parents
During the message conversation between CJ and Louise on April 26, CJ told Louise she could call Shane and CJ her parents.

Louise said:

"I want to start calling you guys mum and dad but i don’t want to make shane uncomfortable"

CJ replied and said she can "if she wants" .

Rebecca asks CJ if Louise has moved out yet, CJ replies “No why?”

CJ then calls Louise multiple times but they do not connect.
