If he was heading to Camber there is a LOT of water - it's on the coast!

There is. A number - or those I have actively followed anyway - seem to have had pre-existing mental health issues, exacerbated no doubt by the last year of Covid.

I agree, it seems as though there's a mass non-coping experience going on, for obvious reasons, but it feels as though it's affecting boys and men far more than women and girls. Not a scientific analysis obviously, but based on the missing incidents that I see, that's my impression.

Does anyone who's been here longer than me know if missing episodes have always had a gender bias? Is it entirely new, newly exacerbated, or actually not as true as it seems?

If it were the other way round, I might think there was a reporting bias because of a perception that women who are in the wind are more vulnerable and need finding fast. I really don't think there would be a bias towards reporting missing men, so I do think it must be a real issue.

Police said they have carried out extensive searches of the Camber and Dungeness areas, where he is known to have travelled to. However, he has not yet been located, police added.

On Thursday, police released three new images of a t-shirt logo, shorts and boots he may have been wearing at the time.
