Dyet was last seen on CCTV at 5pm on Tuesday, 17 February, 2009, with his cross-collie dog leaving Costcutters supermarket on High Street in his hometown of Eyemouth, Berwickshire. He was well known in the Killies area of Eyemouth, and used to busk in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Galashiels, and other towns. His dog, Jack, was found in the back garden of his home address the day he went missing, but Dyet has never been seen or heard from again.
