This is strange. Minor car crash, insurance details being exchanged etc, "nothing to see", then suddenly a man, who had already been stabbed to death, was found in one of the cars:

Detectives do not believe the victim, who is in his 20s, was killed in a "road rage" attack but was in fact injured before the collision. Police were called shortly before 1.20am on Sunday and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after he was found in a car suffering from a stab wound.

This happened outside West Ealing station.

Seems police believe there was an altercation 100 metres down the road, the victim then got into / was put into a car which crashed soon afterwards. As there were reports that insurance details were being swapped prior to realising this man had been stabbed, I'm guessing he wasn't the driver, but it's not clear.

Be interesting to know if he was on his way to the hospital and whether the crash caused a delay in getting him treatment or whether he was already dead. In fact, was he even in plain view in the car? Reading witness statements it seemed like a simple bump and some time later he was found.

Maybe they were on their way to Temple...no one arrested though?!

Confusing o_O Maybe it's just the reporting.

If they were on the way to a hospital I doubt they would have stopped and exchanged insurance details for a minor bump. I certainly wouldn't have.

I think the simple answer is the victim got in his car after being stabbed and then crashed. The insurance details swapping was actually just a witness saying it looked like insurance details were being swapped. That’s what you just assume if you see a group of people around a car after a crash.

From Dec 2:

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed a teenager has now been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Mehran Heydari.

The 19-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Monday (December 2) on suspicion of murder and he remains in custody at a North London police station.

Police were called at 1.18am on Sunday, November 24 to reports of an injured man outside West Ealing station, in Drayton Green Road.

Paramedics also attended the scene where a man was discovered suffering from a stab wound inside a vehicle.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, Mehran was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A man has been jailed for life for the “brutal” murder of “defenceless” Mehran Heydari in West Ealing.

Mehran, 26, was stabbed to death in a residential street close to his flat by Ismail Yusuf in an attack fuelled by jealousy over a woman they both had relations with.

Police and paramedics rushed to The Avenue, close to West Ealing station, in the early hours of November 24, 2019, but Mehran was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 20-year-old, of Hangar Lane, Ealing, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 20 years and 213 days.
