Watching SkyNews interview with Superintendent Liz McAinsh

Working from information from his mother who put him to bed, the interviewer asked about corroboration about that - door to door, speaking to neighbours/family/friends
Activated child rescue alert which is usually only done in abduction cases - still appropriate due to young age and to gather information from a wider area. Not denying that Mikaeel may be out-with Scotland.

I'm sure I heard the superintendent saying they now had photographs of all similar items of clothing, I've not seen that yet?

ETA: This is the first I've watched any of the live TV coverage but I notice Sky now have one of their main reporters live in Edinburgh, so I expect maybe the story will be covered more today.

From General Register Office for Scotland

A father who is not married to the mother can only register the birth and be named in the register as the father if:

He jointly signs the register with the mother;
He and the mother sign declarations (these are available from the registrar) that he is the father; or
A court declares that he is the father and the mother registers the birth.

I heard about this story yesterday after I dropped my daughter off at School, I really did not expect that today on the School run he'd still be missing. Please let today be the day that he's found safe :(

Police seem so certain he left the building. I guess they have searched all the other apartments in the block and satisfied themselves he is not there. There would have been an arrest by now if anyone refused.

Trash collection of non recyclable household waste is fortnightly in Mikaeel's area and there was none this week. Next collection day is Wednesday 22nd, as far as I can see from this schedule. That's good news. People should be asked to report strange items of clothing appearing in their trash bins/cans. If there has been a crime, it isn't unknown for evidence to be dumped in someone's trash.

Is there any news on when he was last seen by anyone other than mum? Could he have gone missing before Wednesday? Just got a niggling feeling about this mainly due to the fact he was put to bed in a room on his own that night.... would HRD dogs have been sent into the flat/car already?

Also finding it unbelievably sad/odd that it's nto headlining any newspapers this morning!

Some info from The Daily Record newspaper in Scotland (sorry, tried to find links to articles online but iPhone disliking the website):

The other children's father, Nigerian Omotoso Adenkunle Adekoya, 35 is a taxi driver.

Mikaeel maternal grandmother retired doctor Hardjinder Kular joined in the search yesterday.

Police could not confirm whether Mikaeel had a passport or is listed on his parents documents or whether he has ever been out the country.

Ladies inside the centre tell me there is a lot of wasteland and lots of gardens in the area that will need searching #MikaeelKular

A few people in high-vis and carrying sticks are here but still seems to be more media than volunteers. #MikaeelKular

I hope Mikaeel's kindergarten surroundings have been thoroughly searched too. If he usually went early morning, he might have been used to going there in the dark. It is possible he woke up and decided to go there in the early hours. The way he dressed made it sound as though he was getting ready for school.

Perhaps it is time for police to release more info about what kind of 'unwell' Mikaeel was affected by? Very high temperatures are possible in young children and he could have been hallucinating or very confused.

In the press conference this morning the Superintendent said Officers were speaking with Neighbours asking when they last saw him but she didn't comment on what the neighbours said. They had dogs in yesterday but haven't said anything else about this. It would be good to know if they found a scent at all.

Welcome!

I think police avoided answering that question about the last seen.

Does anyone else think its strange that Police can't confirm if he has a passport? One call the Passport Office and they would have this information. He won't be on his parents passport, they don't allow that anymore, all children need their own Passport now.
