It seems to be a 20min or so walk from Mikaeel's home to Waterfront Gait or a 5minute drive. Not far at all.

I don't like where this could be heading. :(

I can only get radio here. Hopeless. They are twittering about the weather. Not freezing in Scotland, but not warm either.

The apartments where the arrest was made look very similar to Mikaeel's block, yes?

Twitter for local paper.

Radio just said Mikaeel lives in an apartment on the first floor of the Ferry Gait block and he would not have been able to open the door on his own.

* Also said (I think) that he had never seen his father?? That contradicts other reports.

Now being reported on sky news that the arrest was NOT connected to the search for Mikaeel.

Deleted, double post. WS has hiccups

I hope this means good news for Mikaeel! Although it's not below freezing here it still feels very cold, if he's out there he's got to be very scare.

The police spokeswoman is giving the impression that Mikaeel has wandered off and asking members of the public to look in their gardens etc but it seems unlikely that he left the building alone, I wonder why they are not setting up search parties via the public if they think he might be seeking shelter? Something is very odd about this and I have a horrible gut feeling.

They obviously suspect a crime if they are wanting the public to search their own premises, its seems like they still have no clue what has happened.

BBM. I have just seen on FB locals are asking for volunteers to help in a search. It states 50 have already volunteered to help.
