Not really. Its just that they aren't willing to accept that she is probably dead.
Obviously there’s an element of that but they are familiar with the walk, what she does, how Willow behaves etc et.

IMO you can never say 100% unless you remove everything from the bed of the River. This is almost impossible to do.

You could say "highly probable" etc but anyone saying something is 100% is not credible. JMO.
I agree. Unless they know something for absolutely sure. JMO.

Interestingly LE disagree with him.

The reality is he should not have stated that, as it is entirely feasible for a body to have floated within the timescales. So, it's entirely feasible that a body was not in areas PF searched, but still in the river somewhere. He never searched the entire river.
Also feasible that it was missed due to underwater topography.

I still find the anglers 'deep hole' is a critical clue here but they probably went down in there without sonar assistance and had a good look around.

Presumably the divers have bright lights with them

I'm sure they would have checked that they had fresh batteries

How about evidence ?
Police cannot declare a crime scene without some evidence to that effect.
Ok but I’m thinking about phone being on the ground bearish the bench and Nicola having vanished.

I suppose there is that. I know for 100% that my phone is not in the River because it is in my hand.

But there is no evidence that anything has happened to her beyond her disappearance
Police believe drowning. There is nothing to suggest otherwise.
What evidence has there been to suggest drowning?

Another option ( instead of the ones I just posted upthread ) could it possibly be he's been influenced by Peter Faulding conversations?

( If you think back to what Peter said in the past when he was also talking in absolutes and ' impossibilities' etc etc)

Yes it’s almost like Paul’s narrative offers hope, the LE that’s she’s in the water there is no hope.

Btw we have definitive confirmation here, that the CCTV black spot is the gate at the bridge,
where Nicola turned right onto the path.

Question for the group:
If Nicola did leave via this exit (the same way she entered)
What could have caused the dog to stay?

IMO can I suggest the dog was actually frantically running up and down this path,
returning to the bench, and the road
and just so happened to be found at the bench.

We're talking 15-20mins here, it may have done several laps searching.

Can anyone confirm as I read somewhere the person that found the dog & tied it to the bench with the string was the owner of the caravan park ?
I'm yet to see Willow tied/restrained with string in any MSM???. Please link. TIA.

A lot of the benefit of CCTV to the person installing is the deterrent effect it has. Your criminal doesn't know if the camera is working or not so that stays in place even if it's not recording, which is why I think a lot don't get around to fixing them.

JMO.

Fair enough.
Although I think the giveaway at night is the infra red lights that aren’t lit up when it is broken.

If somebody falls into a river and there are no eye witnesses, what kind of evidence would you expect?

A witness tied the loose dog up with some string to the bench at 9.33 ish but later got free

That they didnt fall in the river??

A thought's just struck me. Would she have any bag with her? Suppose she left it in the car as wouldn't need it on a dog walk, just phone and poo bags in pocket.

Most dogs wouldn’t do that, they’d likely carry on when at the road, especially if they know the area.

So confirmed, the police didn’t approve the story about the red van. Very irresponsible reporting.

I still think the dog harness was wet when found. This has been my IMO from the start.

Handbag is a really good point. Most ladies do have handbags.
