RIP. A sad but fairly obvious conclusion IMO.

Look after the kids.

I’m so glad they found her - far better for her family than if she had never been found.

Everyone who said she wouldn‘t have gone as far as Shard flats and estuary were right.

Lots of people foaming at the mouth to allege foul play. <modsnip>
It's interesting to me that so often in these type of cases people seem reluctant to accept the obvious mundane happening and twist themselves in knots with convoluted scenarios

RIP Nicola

So three weeks of wondering and it’s the worst news for her daughters and family. Only a few weeks for the river to give up its secrets but so terribly sad and she wasn’t that far away either. Thinking of her family at this time. Poor Nicola

So police were correct in their initial assessment that she had gone into the river.
I bet we won't see all the people who trashed them (in the press/social media) apologising though!

Not sure why this has shocked me, as I’m sure most of use knew it was coming. But always that glimmer of hope she was elsewhere. Sending all my thoughts to the family. How desperately sad.

On a normal Sunday I’m with my kids and husband. Just gardening and normal life stuff, I’m a very similar demographic to NB. Their lives will never be the same.

GB News presenter already saying that LP have questions to answer. Eyeroll

Anyway, the worst case scenario imo was that she'd been washed into the sea & might never be found or not found for many, many months - as HM Coastguard had said.

The find today is extremely sad but better than she had never been found.

The body isn’t far at all from the spot the police believe she went in.

Sorry I’m not very scientific but would it be possible for her to have moved there in 3 weeks? Is it over the weir? Has this area not been searched?

The police were correct all along.
Looks that way. Perhaps it will one day come to light what else backed up their hypothesis - outside of the obvious which we already know in the media.

Tragic, but with the way things played out this morning, inevitable.

Two dog walkers showing a police officer something in the water, that officer immediately calling for backup, the entire river and village being sealed off, and SIO Smith looking heartbroken.

What else could it have been.

There has been so much activity, people about, that I am sure it is completely unlikely someone could have planted a body there since she went missing - but in this image given says the police were at the caravan park, is that coincidence or could they have reason to believe since finding the body someone could have been involved? So sad/tragic all around, but thankfully her loved one are closer to having answers:(
its possible someone could have planted I guess. JMO. Whoever it is (as its not confirmed) may they Rest In Peace

Condolences to NB and her family. More must be done to support women, instead of alienate them in times of need. If she had the right support I'm sure circumstances would've been different.
I wonder if they will be able to find out if this was a tragic accident or a deliberate act

It's almost as if they are professionals who know what they are doing and are better than Twitter detectives...

My heart aches so much for those two little girls. I hope that if it is Nicola that finding her gives them some comfort (for lack of a better word). I hope a post mortem helps provide more answers.

And have been in possession of relevant information not In the public domain
Who'd have thought it eh

I can't imagine what her family must be going through, but at least they have an initial answer as to what happened to her and they have her back. I hope it turns out just to be a tragic accident, rather than anything else.

Believe me, it won't stop even now.
