Lots in the media suggesting she can’t possibly have fallen in, no sign of slippage, she was a good swimmer etc.

What is unusual is that she was missing for a relatively short time only .

To me it seems perfectly plausible she slipped or fell on a grass covered bank and little mark would have been left on the ground. She might have dropped something near the bank and slipped trying to retrieve it. She may have been unable to get out with soaked heavy clothing. River beds in the UK are very slippery and muddy with sediment. It is quite plausible she decided to try and swim up or downstream to find a better place to climb out. Even a very strong swimmer would have great difficulty in winter clothing in very cold water. She might well have moved out of the immediate area that the divers have been able to thoroughly search.

I suspect if she had suffered an accident on land she would have been found by now given the extensive search and the dog would have been found with her.

If there had been foul play how could someone have possibly moved her in the short time available ? (Unless she was missed by ground search , which can happen ) . The time available for her disappearance leaves I think few possibilities.

Terribly sad

I mentioned this earlier as on the Angling map for the area it calls this point 'deep hole' . I would imagine this means it is deeper at the point directly below the bench
Yeah, I saw that. Given the sharp bend at this point it's not surprising it's deeper, but 15ft is deep especially considering the width. Wouldn't rivers like this generally erode into the bank rather than down? Or maybe it's just an anomaly.

New update from Peter faulding he believes with the evidence he’s got at the moment that she’s in the river, and there doesn’t seem to be a 3rd party involvement. Just thought I would share.

Im absolutely gob smacked they're live streaming this. It feels like it's turning into a bit of a TV show for the media now sadly.
Yet another instance of losing faith in LE in this case. The path leading to the bench, the bench area, the bench itself and both the lower and upper fields could and should have been sealed off until it was proven they are not a crime scene. It beggars belief the amount of people who have trampled these routes over the last 10 days.

New update from Peter faulting evidence to support he believes she’s in river with the evidence at the moment.

Ergh he was annoying me before with his interviews, and now funnily enough he has all the information working WITH the police not publically shaming their efforts. Suddenly he aligned with their hypothesis.

wow!

yesterday, before he got the go-ahead to get involved:

Bulley 'is not in the river at all' and adds: “None of this rings right to me"

and also "I don't know how the police can say there's no evidence of third-party involvement in this disappearance when they haven't actually checked."

I thought he'd previously said he didn't think she was in the river?

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I really hope they find her soon!

How long can you keep somewhere closed off for though? They will have looked for and gathered any evidence already.
True. I just thought sometimes things are missed and they go back to scenes much later to review again, and find things. I just thought on this occasion as their focus is on the theory of her having fallen into the river why take the risk of missing something, but they of course have done what they can. It also seems to be a fairly rural public area. Would it be detrimental to keep it closed off for two weeks.

Not what he was saying originally.

I think the police will have shown evidence to support their hypothesis of her being in the river and now he thinks the same at this present moment in time.

Say it louder
Rowanwater - I has been my main focus since it was announced the last physical sighting of NB was so close to that site and it’s access road.

images of LE's North West Underwater Marine Search team , last week

A bit about them, think it's time they got some credit for their slog all last week:

'The Unit is a collaboration between six police forces (Merseyside Police, Greater Manchester Police, Cheshire Constabulary, Cumbria Constabulary, Lancashire Constabulary and North Wales Police), with Officers from each Force being seconded to the Unit

All the officers on the unit are qualified commercial divers, and hold a range of boating and other specialist qualifications, including confined space search techniques.'

Do we know if the broken CCTV at Rowanwater belongs to one of the residents?

Yes they said so when they first put a cordon up - at a dangerous spot. around bench (where there's also that danger sign?)

( IDK how dangerous the spot is today - where the public/media are standing this afternoon - how close it is to water's edge)

I've noticed a really interesting phenomena and this is a good demonstration of it. Do people honestly believe the police are so inept that they'd not look at the bench for forensics? What is it that gives people the impression they know more than the police? Even though most have never stepped foot in Lancashire, let alone at the crime scene.

It's not a criticism as such, more an interesting observation. I'd love to know what spawned this behaviour.

If they don't find NB in the river, will he come out and do an interview and say "Gee, well she isn't in the river, it must be foul play then etc"
