What if the dog sightings were inaccurate? I believe the owner of the caravan park was the one who found willow and the phone etc. The cctv also at said park happened not to be working. If these statements are wrong it throws the timeline by anything up to a good hour when the school was called.

I've "made a decision", I have, I have I promise, calm ....... not to get wound up about the police's complete inability to be clear about Garstang/Blackpool Roads/Lanes ... breathe .. deep breaths .... and it appears google and apple maps have to also contribute to this nonsense ..... deeeep breaths ... deeeeeep .... If you look at my posts/interactions with firstsnow4/kittythehare/others after that statement today you'll see what they/we/I sort of arrived at ...... vallium .. where's the vallium .... or the wine ... wine ... go with wine ....
That the tracking for certain routes does not sync/align with that on google/apple maps?

Not quite sure what you mean but I think so, but it appears google/apple call the road names differently too. So it depends what they are using as reference.

Did we ever clarify what the small brick building/structure by the river is by the way?

Serious question. What has actually been 100% bonafide clarified and proven at all in this case other than Willow for 100% was in the area and CCTV captures NB leaving home address to take dog for a walk?

What else?

I hope they find her soon so this can be put to rest. I still don't believe anything untoward has happened and is just a tragic accident. My concern now is what if they don't find her. Sometimes in these cases a body isn't recovered. Perhaps a small number of cases in comparison to recovery but what if.

Any chance of that map sleuthers please?

My own feeling is that this involves foul play and she isn’t in the river. Although I acknowledge a tragic accident is always possible.
Events leading up to Friday morning that are possibly not usual.
Meets boss on Thursday evening. According to an earlier thread the boss drove a good distance from Keighley area to Hardang for a face to face with Nicola. The nature of the company .. selling mortgages etc tells me this is slightly out the ordinary ( although that’s my own assumption). As soon as she gets home she asks parents to stay on for a while as she has important zoom meeting.
She emails boss between 8 and 9 next morning. A flurry of activity that may or may not be normal. Parents say she appears very upbeat. All of this could be entirely unrelated to her disappearance but on the other hand she sells mortgages to members of the public. She’s a very attractive lady and no doubt has to spend time with clients getting paperwork signed. I am saying the flurry of activity and then immediate disappearing catches my attention. That’s all and it’s Jmo!
This seems like a normal day of work/life, not a flurry of activity at all. JMO

Same. I can't understand why he's given 3 (?) statements/interviews today when he's essentially a contractor acting in a voluntary capacity. Unless the police have asked him to do this so they can focus, take the heat off them (not that it has...) etc MOO

He does have a book just published you know. ;)

The canal incident took place in Barrowford, Pendle - that's about 40 miles east of St. Michael's. Very unlikely to be related in any way.
google maps route
Hi loobyloo,
I was referring to the Shard Bridge Emergency Vehicle incident, about an hour ago. Perhaps you were thinking of something ELSE that happened 40 miles away?
The Brit in our household here in the U.S. says that the Shard Bridge is 5-7 miles from St. Michaels on Wyre, where NB disappeared. (depending on......if you consider the bends in the river when calculating distance. )
This article here also confirms that.

I wonder if PF and his team went as far as the Shard Bridge today?

Hey folks,

Websleuths 101 here.

Rather than I think this or I think that, or "in my aunt Matilda's case", please sleuth !! Just find appropriate links to what the fact actually is. That way we don't end up with 20 posts and responses that are just guessing, when simply providing a link to an appropriate source answers our question.

Thanks.

When you say "local police" I don't think it exists ny more. Even for minor incidents they might be sent in from somewhere like Fleetwood/Blackpool/Poulton/Wherever. They almost certainly wouldn't know for sure where Garstang Road becomes Blackpool Rd.

I think it's poor communication from the police about this, especially when they are requesting specific location info/dashcam footage, but I've stopped being wound up by it now :)
I’m not criticising LE but surely another police force should review the evidence and strategy re investigation 10 days on?

And if it was 5:51pm they were called why is it just reporting at 10:30pm?

“Police, the coastguard and ambulance workers were all in attendance, according to the Sun newspaper. "The search of the sand and surrounding area near to Shard Bridge by Lancashire Police and the Coastguard proved negative," police confirmed to the tabloid tonight.”
