GUILTY UK - Nicole Smallman, 27 & Bibaa Henry 46, Archdeacon's daughters, murdered London park, 7 June 2020

So, normally would think this might be targeted and somewhat personal (for a stabbing) and then toss the phone(s).
Is the UK gun-ban thing & stabbing incidents related? Not getting in the weeds with politics, but me thinks one has to take that into account when making sense of this tragic ordeal.

I see a lot of people on here making timelines of stabbings.

l think it would be fair to say stabbings in the UK are like the US's gun crime these days. Maybe not in so far as many people carry knives, but if you are in a gang or a criminal you certainly do. It's been out of control with young people being stabbed in London.

But this is different. They weren't young, not involved in the criminal underworld as far as we know, not in a gang. But they've been two more multiole stabbings in parks since this happened, one terror related, one not.

Fair enough. Thank you.

Starts at 41.30 ........ Mina Smallman talking to Martin Bashir

PM - 26/06/2020 - BBC Sounds

I dared to listen to it...afraid I had to cry....this is absolutely heartbreaking....I'm not the person to take every homicide into the racists corner, don't want to go into the weeds of institutional racism....It makes me think, not closing my eyes for it....and yes I had to cry.

This is just so unbelievably heartbreaking! This poor family!

Good god...what those police officers did defies belief. It is not up to them to have an opinion on the status of any victims of crime. They need to do their bloody job - no more, no less.

Poor, poor Ms Smallman; bad enough to lose your daughters in such awful circumstances, but to have their dignity violated by police officers just adds insult to injury.

There’s a petition to bring charges against the police officers for those who want to sign

My heart really goes out to Mina, losing two beautiful daughters, who bought so much to the world, then having to find out they were treated so poorly after death. She seems like a strong lady but theres only so much even a strong person can take.

Is there a reason why LE didn’t Report that it was the boyfriend and other friends who found them ? I’m surprised they omitted a huge chunk of this.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/murder-victims-father-loses-faith-in-police-inquiry

Bibaa’s father Herman Henry, a former boxer, said he was “sickened” by the allegations and had lost faith in the ability of the Metropolitan police to find the killer. Asked whether he felt confident in the police investigation, Herman said: “No. And I am sickened by what has happened with the police. We look up to the police to be better than this.

“This is incredible. I just could not believe that these two persons who call themselves police officers could do something like that. They should take a good look in the mirror.” He said he had been “very close” to Bibaa. “She’s my firstborn and she was a beautiful young lady.”

This is so sad!! And I can't imagine what the family must be feeling and going through. I really hope they get the justice they deserve on all accounts.

I do wonder why it wasn't mentioned about who found them also. If I remember correctly, it was reported as a member of the public?

how do we know the murderer is one person? and how do we know its male?

The police have blood from the attacker. As to whether one or more, they have said only one. Again, they must be working from the blood.

On the plug for the Jeremy Vine show it said they'll be hearing from Mina, not sure if that means she's a guest or they'll just be replaying the interview with Martin Bashir.

This story twists me up! First, there is the shocking crime itself, the callousness of the attack. Two beautiful lives taken away, leaving a void in their wake. Then there is the actions of the police, particularly the actions of the police in this moment. And not for the first time - I really felt shades of Joy Morgan and what her family described as sheer indifference on the part of LE when listening to the mum). This should be an absolute bl**dy scandal! Just can't find the words. Heart goes out to Nicole and Bibaa's family and friends. Hopefully, this sicko is found real soon, and they can begin to even try to come to terms with the tragedy that has occurred here. Rest in power, both xxxx
