That is so very sad. I used to specialise in brain injury at birth cases - primarily acting for the NHS and such a condition would dictate a huge amount of care and might well be life limiting. :-(Prosecutors say Ms Letby overfed Child G with milk through a nasogastric tube or injected air into the same tube and made two more attempts to kill her on 21 September. Jurors have heard the child now has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and requires round-the-clock care.
Mr Johnson says the 21 September was significant as this was the baby girl's full term due date. That coincided with some of the events - Ms Letby tells the court 'all it is is a coincidence'

I am surprised Mr Johnson didn't repeat the question due to LL remaining silent when he initially asked her that.Very interesting that when LL is asked to describe what experts and what evidence she’s referring to, she sipped some water and remained silent.

The NHS has been grossly underfunded for many years as well as being overstretched as people live longer and therefore are more likely to need care.
It shouldn’t happen but they have to make decisions as to where their money goes , which includes which “fires” they send their maintenance/repair teams to put out first . I imagine the sewage issue got fixed eventually but apparently not immediately.
