Let me add:

This is the one hospital in the country where handover sheets march in line following a nurse home:

"They came home with me".
Gosh yes even inanimate objects are now acting to frame her, blimey this conspiracy runs deep! Add paper to the ‘ring of four’

Ring of 261 (257+4)? :D

Do I brave the trip to court tomorrow ? I’ll have to get up at 5am ! But I think it is going to be the last opportunity to see her on the stand
To see how she approaches the matter of the notes ( in person ) would certainly be intriguing.

I reckon the shredder is in on this too.

Yes the notes if guilty read like an admission. The ‘I killed them’ is quite a strong statement. It’s not a ‘they died’ because I’m incompetent. Killed suggests intent imo but I’m no statement analyst!

Obviously we don’t know if the defendant is innocent or guilty so it’ll be interesting to see these covered in cross. I have my doubts it’ll be tomorrow though likely bumped to next week.

Ringleader for sure!
I won't tell the shredder you presumed to group him with inanimate objects.. we have your safety to consider...

Baby Q -

Beginning of cross-exam -

Lucy Letby tells the court she does not think Child Q had a crash collapse.
"It's a deterioration," she says.

"This wasn't just some common or garden desaturation," Mr Johnson says.
"Yes, it was," she says.
This crashed resulted in Child Q being transferred to intensive care.

End of cross-exam -

Mr Johnson says Letby was given Child Q in good condition and he "left your hands on a ventilator in intensive care but by 10.29pm was returning to normality".
"I don't think you can say a baby on a ventilator is returning to normality," Letby says.

Does anyone else feel like they've stepped off a fairground ride today? I think I feel shocked, even just reading it, goodness knows what it's felt like being in court with so much more to take in.
Today is the first time since the trial began that I’ve felt physically sick to my stomach when reading back through the updates. Most days have had me upset, angry, on the verge of tears at times but today has had the most impact on me personally. I don’t know if it’s because the picture has suddenly come into full focus of how the attacks escalated over time, how she allegedly became more and more brazen until, if guilty, feeling confident enough to attack (allegedly) 3 babies in a 72 hour period, including two triplets within 24 hours of eachother.

I think NJ will end ‘with a bang’ tomorrow and really grill her about those post it notes. Hard to believe we are almost at the end now (depending on how many - if any - more witnesses BM has to call) of such a long trial. I suppose he could just do redirect and then rest his case if he doesn’t have any experts to refute the prosecution, maybe that’s why LL decided to testify?

All MOO

The combined evidence of the timed medical notes, observation sheets and text messages was devastating.

I think tomorrow will deal with the 'i killed them on purpose' notes and will be very dramatic. Think how lightly Myers skipped over these notes, and how little he interrogated her answers as to why she wrote them and what they meant. Johnson will spend hours on each and every one. Exposing every contradiction. Beginning with the handover notes and ending with the post it confessions is such a clever tactic, because it's bookending the cross examination with the bits that are hardest for her to explain. For the babies A-Q she can just say 'i can't recall'. But she can't do that for these notes.

I know, I was left feeling physically sick too, I had to go for a long walk.

Mr Myers did the note as soon as she took the stand, to get it out the way. Mr Johnson has saved it to last.

I think they said no court on Monday and Tuesday next week? My prediction is straight onto closing arguments after LL's re-examination. We shall see!

Whenever I see children of that age walking past my house on their way to school, I think of this case.
A friend of mine had a full term baby in that unit at the time in question. They were rocked by the prosecution and case , and we don’t speak about it . I see their son often and think ,’Thank God’. Whatever happened within that unit . he is fine. IMO

If guilty one of the biggest hurdles is getting people to believe someone can look normal, yet commit multiple murders. Due to media depictions, some people still expect a swivel eyed, trench coat wearing, knife wielder.

In truth some serial killers can present quite normally, be married and have families. They manage to commit multiple crimes undetected, sometimes over years or decades. They don’t present as an obvious danger, and can be highly convincing/ charming, even with law enforcement. Some sk have multiple police interviews and are ruled out as suspects only to later be convicted.

The appearance was never an issue for me. It was always about giving someone the benefit of the doubt, until I couldn't any more.

True. Personality can be convincing. Murder aside, there are loads of people out there leading double lives. You just have to look at the modern day dating apps to see that.
It's a harsh reality but many people do lie to get their needs met and seem to have no issue with it.

Sensible approach :)

The chance of having naturally-conceived identical triplets is estimated at between 1 in 60,000 to 1 in 200 million they are so rare. If guilty she murdered two of them.
May I ask where these figures come from and who states that this is "rare"?

I would suggest that in terms births 1/60k is not "rare" at all. Whereas 1/200m is exceedingly rare given that there were "only" 133m births last year.

How many people die and how many are born each year?

Just trying to juggle the thought that on one hand we have someone who honestly thinks “bastards” is a big insult and on the other that same individual may well be guilty As charged. Along with difficulty in putting the evidence together.

If guilty, she’s so manipulative that she wants you to think she thinks bastards is a large insult and she doesn’t know what going commando means. In realty she’s got her life literally riding on the jury seeing her as nice angelic Lucy from the fundraising images. Her texts clearly show a very different side of her. One that is so busy bitching and gossiping with her friends that she either rushed a baby’s feed or delayed it until she’d finished her conversation . Either way her need to gossip was more important than looking after a vulnerable infant relying on her to live and grow.
