Both men to appear in court on Monday​

Thomas Cashman has been charged with the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel.
The 34-year-old, from Grenadier Drive, West Derby, has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a firearms with intent to endanger life.

Paul Russell, 40, from Snowberry Road, West Derby, has been charged with assisting an offender.

Both men will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday, October 3.

Thomas Cashman, 34, was in Liverpool Magistrates' Court alongside a second defendant, Paul Russell, 40, who is accused of assisting an offender by helping him dump his clothes.

Handcuffed Cashman is alleged to have killed the nine-year-old, who was shot dead after convicted burglar Joseph Nee was chased by a gunman into her home in Didcot, Liverpool, on August 22.

He is also charged with the attempted murder of Olivia's mother, 46-year-old Cheryl Korbel, who was injured during the incident, and Nee.

The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court for 2pm on Monday.

In the dock he was surrounded by four police officers during the hearing, which lasted about 10 minutes.

The court heard he was alleged to have assisted Mr Cashman by driving him away from the scene and disposing of clothing.
