Just checked and it states in the Liverpool Echo reporting that the court heard TC left a pile of clothes by the washing machine which Russell later moved.

The liverpool echo website is a nightmare to navigate- so many adverts!

Thanks!
I somehow missed the info about the other guy collecting these clothes and it has been bugging me

Yes, it is awful. There is some sort of vpn you can use to lose all the popups and adverts

I find the clothing by the machine intriguing. Is shooting someone so run of the mill that you just put your clothes by the washing machine like any normal day? At this point he didnt know about Olivia, and didnt know if Nee was dead or not

I just checked and Paul Russell was charged with assisting an offender by driving him to another location and disposing of the clothes. So Cashman's acting so entitled/ lazy/ careless/ choose the adjective/ was actually extremely detrimental to PR. I wonder if his actions would have been different if he had known about Olivia. (ETA Paul Russell's actions)

It’s a mess.
He took off and only managed to get to Runcorn ?
Master criminal … it’s literally half an hr away.

Exactly, after a shooting I would have assumed you’d be whisked off to lay low somewhere miles away, or even abroad? Maybe we’re not dealing with the sharpest tool in the toolkit here with Cashman, doesn’t seem to have covered any of his tracks very well.

No mention so far of the motive for all this. Or who ordered the hit.

There are rumours on social media which I can't repeat here. But chasing someone down the street while waving 2 guns does seem very amateur hour.

Reminder of who is who

Here is a reminder of who is who in the courtroom.
David McLachlan, KC, appears for the prosecution, assisted by Henry Riding and Peter Wilson.
Cashman is represented by Professor John Cooper, KC, with Katy Appleton as his junior.
High Court judge Mrs Justice Amanda Yip presides over the trial.

Jury called in

The jury are back in now and we are ready to resume.

The two reserve jurors who sat in on the prosecution’s opening are discharged.

Justice Yip “thanks them for their role in this case, which has been important”

Operation Robin

Caleb Suggitt, an investigator in the major crime unit at Merseyside Police, is called to give evidence.
He was the CCTV coordinator in this case, which the force named Operation Robin.

Jurors are shown a picture of Cashman and the white Citroen Berlingo van he drove.

Next, they are shown a photograph of the outside of the Korbel home.

Joseph Nee’s Volkswagen van is pictured next.

They are also shown vehicles including
a Land Rover Discovery driven by Kayleeanne Sweeney,
a white Ford Transit Connect driven by Craig Byrne and Colin Howells,
a car belonging to a witness who cannot be named for legal reasons,
Paul McCarthy’s silver Mercedes C220 AMG,
a black Ford Fiesta Zetec belonging to Cashman’s niece Bobbi Bailey
and a Citroen Nemo van driven by John Murphy.

Adding this here in case it becomes relevant after forensics tests are completed

Colwell Road is minutes away from Kingsheath Avenue so you would think no one would be that stupid .... but ...

From today's trial blog

Cheryl Korbel taken to hospital

At 10.30pm, a woman who cannot be named for legal reasons placed a call to a man called Paul Russell.

He is captured on CCTV on Colwell Road at this time

TC doesn't seem to be a very good shot (if he was the shooter). It sounds like he had multiple chances at close range and kept missing. (Note: I've never touched or held or fired a gun in my life so I could be completely wrong about this).

" 'I knew she had gone': Olivia Pratt-Korbel's mother sobs as she reveals how she watched neighbour perform CPR on her dying daughter moments after she was shot by balaclava-clad gunman."

My heart breaks for her poor mum

If this was to pay off some kind of debt by Cashman then I wonder if the fact that he turned out to be a terrible marksman means this whole tragedy hasn’t even got him anywhere? Is he a marked man in prison seeing as he could grass people up?
What a life.

If not for the death of sweet little Olivia,
I would view this case as a really bad parody of a gangster film.

What a despicable loser
